                                               Simmental Open Heifers

These heifers were handpicked out of a 120 heifers from my dad, Gerald Twedt’s herd. They are Simmen-
tal-Red Angus cross heifers. The Simmental bulls used are mostly Kjelgaard Simmental bulls and the Red
Angus are Twedt Red Angus bulls. This is one awesome pen of heifers. The heifers are Bangs vaccinated and
                          guaranteed open.

These heifers were all weighed on January 5 and were weighing an average weight of 775 lbs. with the top
heifer weighing 875 lbs. and the smallest heifer weighing 715.They are one even group of heifers. These
heifers could go into anyone’s herd and make a difference backed by years of genetic selection for fertility
and performance. This is a must-see group of heifers.

                                                Angus Open Heifers

This complete set of stylish heifers is from the top of our commercial herd, we held nothing back this year.
These girls rein from a long line of productive, moderately framed cows that phenotypically stand out, and
show off quality udders. The dams of these heifers raise a consistent type season after season, steers that
perform and heifers that are maternal. The heifers offered in this selection are no different. They carry a
blended set of genetics for replacement quality females and they will inject maternal greatness into your herd.

This group of heifers was fed a balanced ration of hay, corn silage, dry distillers, and a complete mineral
package. This custom ration allowed for the heifers to slowly mature in order to insure their longevity and
more milk capacity. In the beginning of January they averaged 776 lbs.
