WELCOME

                                                    Dear Cattlemen and Women,

Welcome to the annual LaGrand Angus Bull sale. It’s been a privilege getting to meet all
of you over the past 17 years. This year the sale will be held again at Stockmen’s Live-
stock in Yankton, SD, at 11 a.m. CDT with special guest, Penner Land and Cattle. They
are bringing a very nice set of Herefords that would complement anybody’s herd. Your
consideration in my program is humbling. I truly feel these bulls will fi t your needs in the
upcoming times and provide you with the genetics you and the industry desire.
This set of bulls have been developed exactly the same as the past, for longevity. I’ve
culled intensively and I’m only bringing the cream of the crop to town. They are not
pushed and are developed in large pastures and pens. As usual, they will be in great
shape and ready for cows. The bulls carry a fi rst breeding season guarantee with many
discounts and delivery options available. Scale busting weights have never been a goal
for me. Please consider this when looking at the offering but I guarantee this group will
add frame, length and pounds to any set of calves plus a bull that will hold together dur-
ing your breeding season and for many years to come.
Lance & Jeanna Pankratz, Kaytlin, Logun and Emmalin
I will also have a select few of 2-year-olds. These bulls were too young to make last
year’s sale so I held them over for this one. I hope this gives you another option in your genetic selection.

II realize that you have many options when you are selecting your genetics and I would like to thank all of my past customers for their loyalty
and for the new ones for taking the time to consider an investment in LaGrand Angus. Our success derives on getting better every year and your
demand drives me to produce better cattle. I would also like to thank all my friends and family for making this come together. Also, Ralph’s Feed
and Sioux Nation for providing the services to get this set here. Please feel free to stop by or call with any questions.

          Sincerely, Lance LaGrand Pankratz

Welcome from Penner Land & Cattle!

We are fortunate to be a guest in the LaGrand Angus annual production sale. We are
no stranger to the cattle business being in the 4th generation of breeding registered
Hereford cattle that stems on 53 years in the business! We are excited to be able to offer
our bulls closer to home. Our production sales in the past were held with my family (TNT
Angus) in Rocklake, ND, until this year when they decided to market their seedstock in
                                                    other ways.

Our herd was started by my grandfather, Jimmy Carter (Carter’s Polled Herefords), from
Rocklake, ND. I was born and raised in North Dakota and arrived in Freeman in 2006
working for LaGrand Angus during college. After the completion of college, I continued
to work fulltime for LaGrand and continue to work there now on a part-time basis. In
2011, all the Hereford cows moved south to our place in Freeman. Grandpa’s cows are all
Jay, Malynda, Kenzy and Keely Penner ran with our cows and as one herd along with our commercial baldy cowherd.

We feel very strongly that this is the best set of bulls we have ever raised. The quality is deep and welcome you to come visit the farm beforehand
if you want to study the bulls. The bulls have been developed on the J&R feed program along with quality grass hay. The group is solid from top to
bottom and are structurally sound. The cows do not get any fancy treatment and have to raise a good calf every year. Open cows are not tolerated.
They have to do their job or they are gone. We strive to raise solid footed, framey bulls with muscle. We sell calves by the pound just as you do
and the bottom line is to add pounds for more profi t. We strive for maintenance free cattle that go out and produce long term.

We encourage you to contact us with any questions and invite you to the farm beforehand to look at the bulls and cows that produce them. The
coffee is always on and we look forward to seeing you on April 20!

          Sincerely, Malynda & family
