We just can’t say enough about the dam behind this Redemption son. She has always raised top One of my favorite things about writing footnotes is fi nding gems in pedigrees like this bull’s mater-

with the #4 Marb EPD as well as a top end HB index and Stay.

Here is a great heifer bull prospect with an outstanding maternal pedigree. We traced his maternal
line back 10 generations before we found a dam with an MPPA under 100 in 1973. A 70# birth
Lot 14 weight goes all the way to an ADG ratio of 105. Top end EPDs round out the package. He has the #8
CED, the #6 REA, #3 HB and BW, and #2 Stay. We like seeing such a great combination of maternal
strength, performance, EPDs, and phenotype.

You have to go back 7 generations before you fi nd an MPPA under 100. The performance is all
there from growth to carcass. Both IMF and REA ratios are at 107. 9 EPDs rank in the top 23%
of the breed, with 6 of those in the top 4% or higher. His HB, WW, YW, Stay, CW and REA are all
ranked in the top 8 in the offering or better.
