Sierra Belvin, 16, is the daughter of David and Irene Belvin from Reed Point, Montana. She is the
youngest of the family with only one older brother, Stone Belvin. On June 10, 2017, Sierra was crowned
the Miss Montana High School Rodeo Queen at the High School State Finals Rodeo in Baker, Montana.
In the judging of the queen competition, Sierra won fi ve out of the nine categories. Those categories
being Modeling, Personal Interview, Appearance, Personality and Photogenics.
Sierra has been a member of the NHSRA/NJHRA for four year and competes in barrel racing, pole
bending, goat tying, breakaway roping, team roping and the queen competition. In her spare time, she
enjoys modeling, singing the national anthem at rodeo and sporting events, hiking, fi shing, boating,
training young rodeo horses and spending time with her friends and family.
Sierra also enjoys giving riding lessons to people of various ages and teaching them about the amazing
sport of rodeo. Her plans after high school are to attend Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana,
and obtain her bachelor’s degree in pre-med, majoring specifi cally in biomedical sciences. She will
also rodeo for the Bozeman Intercollegiate Rodeo Team. She then plans to transfer to Rocky Mountain
College in Billings, Montana, to eventually obtain her Certifi cate of Physician’s Assistance after two years.
After her college education, she plans to take on her role in the medical fi eld as a physician assistant as
well as pursue her rodeo career.
