Angus Friends,
We always look forward to this time of year when all the hard work pays off and we put together a new
offering of bulls for our customers. We want to invite you and your family to our Annual Bull Production
Sale on Wednesday, May 2nd with a complimentary supper starting at 5 p.m. and the bulls selling at 6:00
p.m. Come early and take some time to look over the selection of bulls we have to offer. We know spring
can be a busy time, hopefully it will warm up and we can all get some fi eld work done. If you are unable to
attend the sale, we offer secure and confi dential phone bids; or you may contact our Angus representative,
Mr. Vern Frey at (701) 721-0344. Please note that the sale will be on DV Auction again this year where you
can preview the bulls before sale day and also watch & bid on sale day at www.dvauction.com.
Even with the abnormally drier summer conditions last year, the bulls had impressive weaning weights. We
attribute that to a strong Angus cow herd and top-quality herd bulls along with good A.I. genetics we use on
our heifers for excellent calving ease with accelerated growth. Angus genetics continue to grow and thrive,
and we are very pleased with our offering this year. We used some new herd sires
including: Ankonian Waylon 0124, CW Big Sky 165, and 44 Federal Reserve
who is probably the most uniform herd bull we have ever owned. He has given
us consistently docile, good gaining, and heavy weaning calves. His offspring
should do the same for you. Our A.I. program includes the following popular
sires: Connealy Courage, A & B Spotlight, Deer Valley Patriot, and MAF Tanker.
These A.I. sires will provide excellent calving for your herd. We understand the
importance of the maternal side of a cow herd. Because of this, the bulls we
offer will sire calves that should wean heavy, excel in the feedlot and also give

you good females for your future cow herd.
The Angus business has been very enjoyable and productive for my family over
the years. We hope that you will be able to fi nd time to visit and attend our sale.
