P. 2

Welcome
                           Welcome
        Fellow Beef Producers,

Welcome to our Colors of Fall Production Sale! We can
truly call this our Production Sale because every animal
in the sale, but one, was born on our farm. This is not
a sale of old culls, but instead is a very young set of
cattle, all under three years old, with many productive
years ahead for you. If you are looking for fat cattle,
you will be disappointed. If you want cattle that you
can turn out on grass, we think you will like these. All
cattle are registered. Most are Red Angus or Red Angus
infl uenced with a handful of Polled Herefords. We like
both breeds and their crosses. Utilizing Heterosis or Hy-
brid Vigor from crossing the breeds is the easiest way
to get extra pounds on your calves and produce more
healthy, vigorous calves. That is why we are calling
        them Vigorous Hybrid Composites.
We run our registered herd like a commercial herd. We
expect bulls and females to breed, maintain themselves
on grass, and produce marketable calves. For the past
two years, we have had a 100% calf crop. All females
settled, gave birth to a live calf, and weaned a live calf.
Honestly, part of that is luck. The other part is good
nutrition and a good vaccination program.

We believe in using vaccine. Every open animal gets
Bovishield Gold and every bred animal gets Cattlemas-
ter in the Spring and/or Fall. Every animal gets deworm-
er twice per year and blackleg/pinkeye vaccine in the
Spring. We rotate types of dewormer and fl y tags to
prevent pest resistance build-up. We do not use creep
feeders, but we do supplement with some protein on
our fi rst-calf heifers. We practice Rotational Grazing
with hot wire to maximize our forage consumption and
        minimize hay feeding.

All bulls sell with a satisfactory Breeding Soundness
Exam. All females have been palpated and updated
pregnancy information will be available sale day. We
want you to be satisfi ed with your purchase. If you are
not happy, call us and we will try to make it right. If
necessary, cattle will need to be returned to our farm in
Murray, Kentucky at the Buyer’s expense unless other
arrangements are agreed upon. We cannot guarantee
life expectancy of the cattle and encourage you to
insure your purchases, just as we do. In the event of a
refund, we will not make settlement greater than the
        original purchase price.
Thanks again for coming to our sale. If you have any
questions, just ask. We don’t have any cattle in the sale
that we would not want to buy at a sale ourselves. We
want you to make money with these cattle when you
get them home. Have a safe trip!

        Greg Reynolds
