and talent all wrapped up into one package! He’s absolutely gorgeous, handmade
with tons of bone, amazing feet and the kindest eye. He’s strong and solid from
the horn. If you rope it, he can pull it. He will pack you around all day with a great
cowboy walk and goes right where you point him. Chisholm has been used primarily
in rough country on a big ranch. He has had a lot of wet saddle pads and knows all
about a day’s work. He’s a deluxe ranch horse and big-time head horse. Perfect in
the box, leaves fl at and runs hard, yet super smooth and will fi t a lower numbered
roper. Chisholm is consistent, reliable and forgiving. Don’t let his size fool you. He
has a rocking-chair lope, perfect lead departures and can spin a hole in the ground
like a reiner. He would shine in the arena in all the ranch horse classes. If you ask
him, he will do it. Chisholm is as honest as a day is long, super kind, always gentle
even with time off. He will be your go-to mount on the ranch or in the arena.

AQHA Ranching Heritage? We are proud to offer Duke, a Gray Ranch-bred gelding
raised by the ranch manager himself, Mr. Kent Ledoux, who has done an outstanding
job at selecting top-hand ranch horses. We have been more then blessed to ride,
train and show these Gray Ranch horses for the past seven years and have been
delighted to watch those horses over the years become top contenders at High
School rodeos, stock horse shows and team ropings. Duke is more than a pretty
horse – he’s honest, well-rounded, gentle, reliable and always a smooth traveler! He
knows when to move and when to stand still, travels with a natural low headset to
slightly above vertical on a draped rein. He rides off your seat, he’s favorite word is
“Whoa,” and he always has a good stop. Cadillac lope him anywhere you want. He
will go where you point him safely and go over obstacle or water in his path. Handy
enough to sort and cut cattle, but not too swiftly so you can stay on with confi dence.
We have spent the past spring and summer using him on the ranch, and successfully
shown him at the stock horse shows. Properly started roping out of the box. Duke is
at prime age to offer you a long and promising future! I would like to call him handy-
sized as he is stout enough for ranch duties but no too big to accommodate most
