When he steps out, he does everyone in and they come running just as fast as they
can, “Cause everyone is crazy about this sharp-dressed gelding!” JD is a fl awless 15
HH dun gelding with a gentle personality, color and talent. He is always a show-stop-
per! All-around is his middle name! As a NRHA $$ earner, JD is an accomplished
reiner who lopes pretty, collected circles with easy lead changes, great sliding stops
and snappy spin. His smooth, extended trot, log dragging skills, gate-opening talents
and his attendance at world-renowned ranching riding clinics makes him easy to
show in the Ranch Versatility classes. JD is a head and heel horse who will fi t the
most particular roper – number 4 on up! Strong from the horn, and, when heeling,
he has a pretty stop and fi nish with lots of natural-cow instincts! Perfection is hard
to use when describing a horse, but we truly have not found a hole in this gelding.
JD is a quiet ride all the time. Even with time off, he is a solid helper on the ranch,
savvy around cattle and great with a rope. On the trail, he is fun and safe to ride out
alone, looks where he places his feet, crosses water and bridges – just point and
go! Unexpected occurrences do not bother JD. You will fi nd several of us riding him
bareback or bridle-less to fetch the mail, help put other horses away, riding over
tarps, with dogs, and gunfi re! He is such a nice horse all the way around – in or out
of the arena – with all the bells and whistles. We have owned several siblings of JD
and not one has disappointed us. You will not be disappointed either! Please give

He’s one of those friendly guys that you would let in your house! He is the kids’
favorite to go give some cuddles at the barn. Sonny has the best of both worlds; he
has the Legendary High Brow Cat’s laid-back disposition and the looks of the famous
Duke Joe Jack, AQHA High-Point Heading horse stallion of the Pitzer Ranch. Sonny is
well-rounded with all kinds of aptitudes, with a promising future. He’s a hard stopper
with elegant moves and good correct turnarounds. He has been ridden just as much
out of the arena as in. We have used him to turn back for the cow horses and track
the Hot Heels. If you like to fi nish your own, he is ready for serious stuff!
