He is a drop-dead gorgeous, level-headed, dark dapple-gray gelding with huge hip,
fl owing mane and tail with the most expressive eye. This showstopper is a true
switch-end head and heel horse! He has been hauled and is easy to rope off of with
a genuinely nice handle – he scores great, has plenty of run, rate, stop and can really
read a cow. He’s one who will work for most numbers of ropers. He’s an exceptional
gelding all the way around on the ranch – he has a nice walk, comfortable long trot,
he sorts and gathers cattle, and Straus knows how to handle a rope in the branding
pen. He’s one of the first ones everyone picks to head out on the trails on. He knows
where to put his feet, he walks through water, over bridges and logs, through the
trees, up and down the hills, and, after a long ride, you can’t help but be all smiles.

heel horse that has been hauled to jackpots in Arizona all winter, and was consistent
at taking us to the pay window. Nick is a one-of-a-kind head horse. He can fl at run,
rates and works off his hocks. He is equally amazing as a heel horse. He is great
in the box, scores well and gives you that perfect shot every time. And if that isn’t
enough already, he is a rodeo-ready breakaway and calf roping horse and has been
pattered on the barrels as well. Nick is an all-around gelding that you can do all
events on and would be a great high school rodeo horse. He has been used on the
ranch for all aspects of ranch work, from dragging calves to the fi re, to sorting pairs.
