Dear Customers,

As I begin to put thoughts to paper, it must be noted that my brother Jackson and I are very grateful for the
opportunity to breed registered seed stock cattle. Every day we count our many blessings because we have
wonderful supportive wives, devoted to raising our children in an agriculture environment; a way of life that so many
others would really like to live. Although young, each of our kids have a natural love and affection for animals, and
they want to participate in every facet of our livestock raising activities. As the old saying goes, “it’s in their blood.”
For all of this and so much more, we feel so proud and fortunate. We are so grateful for all our many blessings.

Building upon the past, this year’s sale offering represents our family’s deliberate decisions and tireless efforts to
mate and develop cattle that satisfy each of our customers’ deserving expectations and make them money. We
understand that this world is full of smoke and mirrors! However, at Rhodes Angus Ranch, we are an open book,
totally transparent and dedicated to telling you and showing you everything that makes up our program. Our
cattle represent what is commercially relevant, consistent and effi cient cows that breed on time, holding both sire
and dam accountable in their ability to produce functional cattle without sacrifi cing what has made the breed so
great. We continue to build upon cows with longevity! The red breed was founded on an authentic principle, quiet
cattle that minimize stress to themselves and their owners. Cattle that are hardy and represent the ability to last and
be productive year after year. To achieve these objectives, we utilize a multi-trait selection process that emphasizes:

· Phenotype, fertility, and longevity
· Structural soundness, foot quality, and udder integrity
· Moderate birth weights, heavy weaning weights, and feed effi ciencies
· Low maintenance, easy fl eshing, and natural muscling

While some might argue that is type of breeding process is nothing new, we heavily scrutinize each animal and
DO NOT make concessions in our culling procedures. That’s because ranching is not just a lifestyle for us, it’s our
livelihood. For that reason, year after year, we diligently strive to make our cattle better for everyone. While rapid
change and new trends seem to be the new norm, we remain constant in our production goals and hold ourselves
accountable for each of our breeding choices and business practices. Without compromise, we wholeheartedly
stand behind our bulls.

From our small herd in Faulkton, South Dakota, we are truly honored and humbled to watch our genetics work for
so many breeders, having a profound infl uence on the production of beef cattle throughout North America. As we
approach the future with even greater optimism, we know that none of this would be possible without each of you
trusting in us over the years. To make this happen, we want to personally thank everyone that have put their trust in
us and our cattle over the years. I cordially invite new customers to put our genetics to the test and look forward to
building new relationships.
