ARTHUR RAYNOLD TWEDT
1929-2020
Arthur Raynold Twedt was one of the greatest men I know. He was my Grandpa. He grew up working hard. Not
long days sitting behind a tractor driving itself with GPS or feeding your cattle with front wheel assist tractors
with cabs and mixer wagons. He grew up working with teams of horses and open cab tractors. His generation
worked harder than we will ever experience and for that I will always respect him. I would spend hours on the
phone with Grandpa telling him what I was up to on the farm. One phone conversation a few years ago, he told
me “Man I am just exhausted today. Gene Becker (a close neighbor) and I were chopping corn all night (In his
dreams). We were chopping with our 1 row corn chopper and we went all night.”
Grandpa was never rich but he would tell you he was. He was rich with faith and family. Grandpa had 28 grand-
children and 36 great grandchildren. He never missed a birthday and if it would have been his choice he never
would have missed a sporting event either. Grandpa and Grandma would pray for each of us daily. He took
great pride in his family and his faith.
Grandpa, thanks for the advice, prayers and love throughout the years. You were a great Grandpa. I love you
and miss you!
