Welcome the B&L Red Angus Spring Bull Sale. We at B&L Red Angus want to start with thanking our customers who
make us a success. We also want to thank the team of Red Angus breeders who help provide the genetic offerings
in both of these sales. So much planning and effort goes into making these sales a possibility, but we continue to be
blessed by our customer’s, team and family.

We started our registered seedstock program after seeing our commercial Red Angus females outperform our other
commercial cattle. We spent many years developing commercial replacement heifers, and Red Angus continued to
blow us away. This sparked an excitement to see the possibilities of growth in the breed, and coupled with the years
of experience as a commercial producer, it laid the foundation of what has become B&L Red Angus. We believe our
years of experience as a commercial producer and developer gives us the edge in understanding what our commer-
cial producers need. The breed continues to gain the successful ranchers’ trust as a complete package of fertility,
fl eshing ability, good disposition, longevity and excellent overall production all inside a moderate frame. We continue
to hear from our customers that our program’s genetics are working for them.

The B&L Red Angus program is progressive and performance driven, keeping the commercial cattleman in mind
each step of the way. We place strong emphasis on maternal traits, carcass quality, soundness, a moderate frame
and good disposition. We have teamed up with like-minded breeders in genetically similar programs to provide an
even greater selection of both registered bulls and females. We continue to push forward utilizing artifi cial insemina-
tion and embryo transfer to capitalize on the superior genetics inside our herd and within the breed. We do so to be
able to pass these genetics on to you, our customer. In addition, we are a seedstock partner in the $Profi t system
that provides our commercial cattlemen with an index system to help recognize the expected profi tability of a bull’s
progeny over his lifetime when accounting for 30% of heifers retained.

The team of bull producers is proud to offer a select set of bulls available this spring. All of the bulls are developed
together here at B&L Red Angus and have completed feed effi ciency testing on Grow-Safe, which provides individu-
alized data on feed-to-gain on each bull. The genetic quality of bulls you fi nd here are hard to beat, whether you sell
your calf crop at weaning or retain ownership to the feedyard. The bulls are fed a high-roughage ration to ensure
they are ready to turn out and go to work for you as soon as you leave. Disposition continues to be of utmost im-
portance. The bulls are developed just steps away from our backdoor and where our children play. Overall, this isn’t
just a development center, it’s also our home and we welcome you to join us for another great sale day.
