First Annual Red Angus Production Sale

Who we are ...

We would like to welcome you to the Texhoma Oklahoma Livestock Auction for our very fi rst “Build the
Shield” production sale!

Shieldknight Land and Cattle is a commercial and seedstock producing farm and ranch located in the
Texas Panhandle. Our farming and ranching heritage is built around fi ve generations dating back to
1923. SLAC primarily started out as a stocker operation but worked our way into cow-calf production
in the early 90s. Our herd at that time was primarily Simmental and Black Angus genetics. Due to the
drought in 2010, we had to disperse our entire cow herd and build back once the grass was good again.

After extensive research on maternal cattle, we believed there was no better breed to build back with
than Red Angus. We began our journey with the Red Angus breed back in 2011 when we bought our
fi rst-ever foundation registered and commercial females. Our path in the Red Angus breed has seen
us develop bulls for Leachman Cattle of Colorado, the R.A. Brown Ranch, and recently with B&L Red
Angus. Through their knowledge and experience we have grown in size and scope and believed it was
time to “Build the Shield!”

Our goal here at SLAC is to build good, functional cattle who can perform in any environment. Cattle are
developed on so many different grasses and feed that they are well balanced when they leave our place
to yours. Our cattle are exposed to blue stem, ryegrass, wheat, orchardgrass, endophyte-free fescue,
blue grama, side oats, buffalo, bermuda, corn, oats and much more.
