How about SPOOKS LIL RUSTLER aka Buckwheat? Check this
big guy out! What a horse he is? He’s as handy as a pocket on
your shirt and as broke and pretty as they come. You will
be noticed everywhere you go with this handsome fella! We
have had Buckwheat here at the farm since he was a weanling and have
done it all with him! Buckwheat is big, beautiful, and broke! Standing
15.2 H and weighing 1200 lbs. Only Buckwheat lopes around like a 14 H
reiner. Buckwheat has gone to the mountains in Colorado on trail rides
and shed hunting. There is no creek to deep or hill to steep! Buckwheat
is good on the trails, in the arena, or out doing a day’s work of ranching. He is super
i
d
broke in his body, knows all his leg cues and his leads, and is very light to your
hands. He is also trained to lay down and sit up like a dog! How fun is that? He was
started in a great program and is such a cool horse. We have done it all on him and
he’s ready to be your next dream come true horse. We guarantee Buckwheat to
be 100%. He is super willing to please and will always meet you at the gate. He is
great to shoe, clip, bath, tie, load, haul, etc. He is 100% sound and healthy with no
v vices. Buckwheat is HPI eligible! If you’re looking for an all-around big, broke, solid,
sound, gelding, with all the ability, brains, and color, look no further!

72 BIG MAC
2015 Black Grade
Gelding 16.0 HH Draft-Cross
Big Mac is one of those horses you just love having in your
barn! He’s big, he’s handsome, and he’s loving. Big Mac is a
black Percheron/QH cross, and he got the best of both breeds.
He has the size and substance of a Percheron, while main-
taining the athleticism, soft ride, and cute head from his QH side. He is 6
years old and stands 16 hands. Big Mac is the type of horse that will leave
his food and friends in the pasture to come get attention from whoever
walks up to the gate. He just loves people and attention. We have used Big
Mac for a variety of jobs since owning him. He rides nicely in the arena.
He is very soft in the bridle. He is light to move off leg pressure, leg yields,
side passes, turn on the haunch etc. He will walk, jog, and lope on both
leads. We have used him to pony colts with both in the arena and outside.
He is unfl appable when a tough colt sits back and plants their feet or acts
up beside him. He just keeps doing his job and doesn’t get anxious. We
have used him to lead a pack mule through the woods and trails. He has a
nice ground covering walk that gets you where you need to go. Aside from
working, we also just like to have fun with him! Like pulling a sled in the
s
snow, trail riding, shooting skeet off his back, riding bareback, you name it, we’ve tried it with him! While the majority
o
of Big Mac’s riding has been western, he has also been ridden English. He would make a super AA friendly low to
mid-level dressage or eventing partner as well as a fun fox hunting mount. Big Mac has nice ground manners. He
m
lo
loads and travels well either alone or in company. He stands for clipping, bathing, and the farrier. Big Mac is sure to
m
make someone a very special partner!
