We’re so excited to be representing this awesome one-of-a-
kind horse to you. Take a look at Rio! You will have a hard time
fi nding a prettier one than this gorgeous buckskin gelding. Not only is he
good looking, but he is gentle, gentle, gentle. Absolutely safe for the beginner
and will totally take care of his rider. Stands 15 hands and weighs 1200 lbs. Rio does
great on the the trails, in the arena, over logs, through creeks, wherever you want to go!
He has an awesome one-handed neck rein and rides smooth, smooth. He is soft in the
face and side passes well. He has been hauled a lot, and is good to clip, shoe, bathe, tie,
etc. We have ridden him in the mountains of Colorado and goes through creeks and steep
canyons and he takes it all with ease! He will also lay down and sit up like a dog, just for
fun! We have owned this wonderful gelding since he was a weanling and we absolutely
love him! We have bought several half-brothers to Rio and they have all been exceptional
and have all been gentle. He has been ridden in all types of terrain and is really sure footed. He is safe to ride out
in a group or out alone as it does not matter to him. This guy was born gentle and so easy to start from day one.

This big boy is a kind soul. He has a heart of gold and a
loveable personality. Shrek, as we call him, is gentle for the
whole family to enjoy. He has been trail ridden all across the
Midwest by all levels of riders, and is as safe and sure footed
on the trails as they come. He also ropes both ends in the arena, is quiet
enough for the lower numbered ropers, is great in the box, easy going,
and will take care of you. He is very enjoyable to just general ride. He stays
broke with long periods of time off and always saddles up the same. Not
a spooky or fl ighty horse at all. He’s very confi dent where he puts his feet, and is a smooth ride whether in the arena or out on the ranch and trails.
Shrek should last a lifetime with his stout build and big foot and bone. He will be the fi rst horse to greet you at the gate to be caught. He loves people
and to be handled, is great for baths and farrier, hauls great and stands tied well. Shrek was bred and raised locally. He is by a son of San Jo Lena
