Charolais Bulls Red Hill Farms – 2022
Charolais Bulls
When Ty was 9 years old, he heard discus-
sions about adding another breed to the Red
Hill mix. Ty began to search the Charolais data
base. He found LT Ledger and said he would
like to breed a couple of his Red Angus cows
to him. After purchasing semen and breeding
cows, Gordon visited the Lindskov-Thiel herd
in South Dakota. After seeing Ledger, the
outstanding LT cow herd, and visiting with
Brent Thiel, Gordon was even more convinced
that Ty had chosen the right Charolais bull.
The first 2 Ledger calves born at Red Hill were
bulls that sold to Gateway (MT) and IXL Ge-
LT LEDGER 0332 P – #M791626 netics (IA). We are continuing to use Ledger
as we develop the Charolais herd.

215H has been an impressive calf since pre-weaning, but he has continued to get better and better as he has grown. He
is a moderate-framed, easy fleshing, wide-centered bull with outstanding scrotal development. The combination of top
CE and BW along with top YW and TSI is a highly desirable genetic profile. In addition, he combines Ledger and New
Standard, two of the most widely used bulls in the history of the Charolais breed.
