Karats is the most uniquely colored horse we have ever seen. He is truly one of
a kind. He has the neatest markings and has striking golden eyes. Karats stands
15.3 hands tall and is 6 yrs old. He is a registered half draft and like most draft
crosses has the best mind and will make you fall in love with him. His personality
is bigger than he is! Everywhere we take him he commands attention with his sweet demean-
or and handsome looks. He is one of those horses that wants to be your best friend. Karats
rides English or western and he has always been willing to let my two girls ride him double
bareback. This guy is good at everything we have done with him. He is amazing on the trails,
he’s been roped off of on the ranch, carried a flag in the grand entry, used for parades, and he
is a very talented jumper. He is a very brave and careful when he jumps. We think he would
excel at eventing because he has so much try and he is extremely brave. He isn’t spooky and
he is a very pretty mover, also. Karats has packed some beginners around in the English saddle and he was a saint. He’s been
exposed to traffic, tarps, water crossings, bouncy balls, ropes, loud whips cracking and none of it phases him. He rides just as
good as he looks and he has the smoothest gaits. I absolutely love riding his trot and lope. He is soft in the bridle, he lopes/can-
ters nice circles, he has a good stop even for a big horse, and pretty turnarounds. He also knows several tricks including laying
down, sitting up, and side passing over to you to pick you up off of anything for easy mounting. Karats will be extremely difficult
for us to part with, but I know he is destined for something great. He is talented and safe both in and out of the arena.

Playgun Gin Bar, we call him Gin, is an absolutely stunning, 5-year-old,
grey, AQHA gelding! He stands 15 hands and weighs 1250 lbs. Gin has
a handsome face and is built right with a big hip and strong topline! His
sire, Circle Bar Play Gun, was very successful in the Shot ranch versatility shows. Gin is a
grandson of the great working cow horse and cutting sire, Playgun (LTE $183,538), out of
Freckles Playboy. He is truly a do-it-all kind of gelding and one of the smartest horses I have ever rid-
den. He remembers what you teach him, and he is very eager to please and follow direction. What also
makes Gin extremely special is he is so level-headed and calm. He never gets worked up or anxious
about anything. Gin has a very smooth and collected trot and lope and is easily ridden off leg com-
mands and light neck rein. Gin has proven to be a tremendous all-around gelding who is multi-talented.
Gin has been used for all aspects of ranch work from dragging calves to the fire, doctoring off of and pushing cattle. He
has also spent a few days at the local sale barn penning and sorting cattle. Gin has been shown in a handful of ranch riding
classes and done very well – this would be a class we think he could excel in as he is very showy. Gin has also been nicely
started in the heading and heeling out of the box. He stands extremely quiet while scoring, leaves the box flat and rates to
the cow very well. Gin has had some cutting training and will lock-in and watch a cow if asked to. Gin is safe for any age
or experience of rider because of his trustworthy nature and calm attitude. He is incredibly fun to take on the trails as he is
spook-free and walks at a nice pace. He can be left off for weeks and is always the same horse when you step on him again.
Gin is 100% sound and has never had any health issues of any kind. Gin is truly at the prime of his life, is a horse the whole
family can enjoy and one of the most incredible horses I have ever owned! He has the talent and brains to take you as far as you want to go or be the best family/trail
horse you could ask for. Jared Meyer • Jared Meyer Performance Horses • 563-543-6355
