32 ROSCOE
John
Black with White Feet
15.3 HH Year Born: 2014 Grade, Not Registered
I am proud to introduce to you, Roscoe. He is beautiful black with
white socks on all four feet. He is an 8-year-old John mule standing
15.3HH and is as gentle as he is tall. Roscoe is exceptionally well
trained to ride as he is to drive. He has been trail ridden in all types
of terrain, whether you are riding in steep mountains or going through creeks, over
bridges or doing obstacles, he will take you there with ease. We had Roscoe on
overnight camping trips, and he ties well on highlines. We have used Roscoe to
work cows and rope calves in the pasture, as well as ponying mules and starting
colts, he stays nice and calm when things get rough. He has a nice walk, trot and
lope in or out of the arena and moves well off legs cues so you can easily work
gates with him. He is soft to the bit and has a smooth one-handed neck rein. You
can drive Roscoe to town, he doesn’t mind the busy traffic. We have also driven
him double to spread manure on our pastures. He is fine to be out in the pasture
or in the barn and has no bad habits. He has excellent ground manners, is easy
to catch, good to clip and loads well on the trailer. We raised Roscoe until he was
a 2-year-old then sold him to my mentor/friend until last year when we had the
opportunity to purchase him back, which we did without any hesitation. Roscoe
stands well for the farrier, vet, fly spray, bathing and for grooming. We would love
to talk to you about Roscoe and answer any questions you might have. Please call
or email at leonraber5779@gmail.com.

Grulla
Molly
15.3 HH Year Born: 2017
Let us introduce you to BCMD Cancer Fund’s Peekaboo. The
proceeds from this great mule go to the Bryce Canyon Mule
Days Cancer Fund! Check with your tax man, but you could get a
wonderful mule and a tax deduction to go with her!! Peekaboo is
a 5-year-old, 15.3HH, grulla, mare mule. She was bred and raised in Montana by
Rick and Tara Price at Rockin R Lazy T Ranch. Her dam is AQHA Miss Blue Social,
a blue roan Zippo Pine Bars and Vellho Joe-bred really nice riding mare. Peeka-
boo’s sire is 15.1HH West Dun, a nice gray dun jack. Peekaboo was born quiet,
kind, brave and friendly and that has never changed. She really does love people.
Since birth she will leave the herd to come over and say hello to humans. This
nice girl rides very smooth in all gaits and rides with the best of them!! She has
a slow walk, fast walk, jog trot and extended trot. Peekaboo has a very nice lope
too. She will lope big circles and small circles, picks up her leads easily, backs,
side passes, and will travel laterally at a walk or trot. Peekaboo collects up and
rides in the bridle. You can move her back end or front end around either direction.
Peekaboo is good with her feet, deworms easily, takes shots well, clips, loads and
saddles nice and quiet. She also lays down on command. Coggins, deworming and
vaccinations are all current. Squeak Barsalou, Salmon, ID, (208-940-1000) owned
Peekaboo three years ago. Peekaboo has spent the last 11 months in training with
Tim Cross, T Cross Farm, Saint James, MO, (573-263-2265). Feel free to contact
either or both anytime. Bryce Canyon Mule Days was started to raise money
for their Cancer Fund after losing Clint Mecham to cancer. Squeak Barsalou and
Tim and Sheila Cross, like almost all of us, have lost loved ones to cancer. After
meeting at BCMD and Chrome in the Canyon last year, Squeak approached Tim
with the idea of sending her young mule to Missouri for Tim to train for 11 months
and nominate Peekaboo for the Chrome in the Canyon Premier Mule Sale with the
proceeds from this great mule going to the Bryce Canyon Mule Days Cancer Fund.
Check with your tax man, but you could get a wonderful, exceptional mule and a
tax deduction to go with her!
