Rankin is so proud to offer this sweet and wonderful pony named
Tater. Tater is one of Rankin’s favorite ponies he’s ever owned and
trained. Tater is a beautiful 6-year-old Palomino gelding and stands
12.2HH tall. Tater is such a pretty boy and has a beautiful mane and
tail to match. He is very gentle, loves people, and is so kindhearted.
Tater has such a sweet disposition about him and loves to be pet and loved on.
Tater is wonderful to be caught; he just stands there waiting for you to come
say hi and catch him. Rankin has used him extensively on the ranch. He has had
all aspects of ranch work done on him. He’s made many cattle gathers on him,
drug calves to the fi re during branding season, and has doctored cattle out in the
pasture on him. Tater has such a big heart and can keep up with the big horses all
day long. Rankin has breakaway roped calves and tied down calves on him in the
arena. Rankin thinks he is so fun to rope on because he is very cowy and pins his
ears at cattle, needless to say he tracks cattle great. Tater one-hand neck reins, has
a nice stop, and does turns great. Rankin has ridden him through lots of water and
he will cross any obstacle you come to with ease. Rankin has ridden him bareback,
drug tarps on him, popped his bull whip on him, carried fl ags, rode him all around
town and at some rodeos, and he even will load and ride in the back of a pickup
with stock racks. Tater has been put through the test and is always such a joy to
ride and be around. He would be great for any level of rider. If you want to just take
him for a nice trail ride or go ranch on him, he would be perfect for anything you
want to do. Tater is 100% sound and is fantastic to pick his feet up and to trim
and shoe. Tater also has exceptional ground manners and is always a gentleman.
You can drop the reins or halter and he will stay right where you leave him and
won’t run off. He is such a sweet, kind, honest and fun pony and we just can’t say
enough great things about him. Feel free to call Rankin with any questions and he

a bidder’s number. All online, phone, and agent bidders are required to be registered to bid by noon the day before the
sale and have all forms submitted. Trying to register after this deadline, will not guarantee the privilege to bid.
