Welcome to our
2023 Production Sale!

It is crazy to believe another year has lapsed and
we are in the middle of the chaos that is bull sale
prep! The Klain Simmental Ranch is proud to be a
family operation. There is something special about
having us all in the barn, talking about genetics
and evaluating the upcoming sale offerings. It
is some of the best family time! Yes, even when
conversations get heated.

The foundation of KSR is our females. These
ladies prove to us every year through the stress,
environment, and weather that they will perform.
Years of studying the genetics and phenotype of
our cattle has brought us to offer cattle that can
be adaptable and compatible with any operation.
Whether you have a commercial operation in the
Badlands and are looking to add pounds to your
calves or have a registered herd in the Valley
looking for new, yet proven genetics, we have
cattle to fit your needs.

This year’s sale is no exception to the standard we
have set. We are offering over 80 lots of cattle that
can fit into any program and help you accomplish
any goals. Need a herd sire, a heifer bull, or are
looking to build upon your females? We have a lot
for you!

One thing that stays constant year to year is
our gratitude toward the relationships with our
customers which have all turned into friendships.
We think that our customers are some of the best
in the business and would love for you to stop
by! All sale lots will be available for viewing at our
open house Saturday, January 28, and Sunday,
January 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food and
refreshments will be provided and we promise
you won’t want to miss out on Darcy’s Knoephla
soup! As always, feel free to reach out at any
