A horse like this is unmatched in quality, and C Fork Horses is proud
to offer this gelding to the public! The jack of all trades, Spade! IB LIL
WHISKEY POCO is a 2019 AQHA Gelding with chrome adorning his
body, and gorgeous blue eyes to match. At the ideal height of 15.1
hands and 1250 pounds, this horse packs thick bone, sturdy feet
and plenty of shape. You won’t find many like him. Spade is by a son of PADDYS
IRISH WHISKEY who has earned respect as a consistent sire of both class and
high-end trainability for all walks of the reining and cow horse worlds, siring cham-
pions in versatility ranch horse, reined cow horse, cutting, reining, calf roping and team
roping. His dam is one of the greats as well! I have ridden many of the COLONEL DUNSINAY
offspring and they have been very handy to have around. You won’t want to let Spade go
once you have him in your barn! He has been one of the easiest, most laid back, fun horses
we have ever had. You can count on him to do anything you ask with confidence and class.
Spade is simple to ride and easy to get along with – he has an excellent neck rein, smooth
lead departures, and fun stops! He moves with tremendous style and cadence. I purchased Spade as a weanling and he has been through all phases of our program, and
he has been an asset to several others. Many great horsemen have had a hand in making him the outstanding individual he is today. Spade has spent time in the panhan-
dle at the feed yard, as well as being used daily on a ranch in Southern Arizona. He has helped gather, doctor, sort pairs, catch strays, and has drug more than his share
to the fire. This horse has done everything on a working ranch you can think of. Not only does he check all the boxes as a ranch horse, but he is an impressive rope horse
as well. Spade has been started on the head side in the arena and has already demonstrated his desire to be “Mr. Consistent”, making the same trip every time. In the
rocks, Spade is sure footed and crosses anything. We’ve hauled him all across the southwest to trail ride at different state parks – Big Bend, Marfa, Ruidoso NM, Phoenix
AZ & so on… You’ll never see him waver when crossing water or climbing steep embankments. Spade is just as civilized riding through town as in the country. Traffic,
pedestrians, bikes, dogs, loud noises and all the commotion of a busy city don’t bother this guy one bit. He’s safe for beginners and easy for the kids to ride and get along
with. It doesn’t matter what direction you choose, you’re ready to roll with Spade! Spade is located at C Fork Horses in Stephenville, TX & we’d love for you to come meet
him! Cheyenne Thompson • C Fork Horses • 480-907-8516
