WELCOME
WELCOME
Greetings, Family & Friends!
Welcome to our 8th Annual Sale! It has been a wild and crazy year again. I
am not sure where the time goes and how it can be sale time again. Thank
you for your support and interest in our program. We strive to offer top-
end genetics for our customers so you can be competitive and successful
in marketing cattle. Customer service and feedback is important in our
industry whether it is from the feedlot on how your cattle performed there
or how the bulls and bred females we sell are doing on your ranch. We
love to visit with ranchers and feedlots on what the needs of their opera-
tions are that is how we improve our genetics and continue to provide
what is wanted and needed in our industry.
Our 4 kids have kept us very busy this past year with 4-H, baseball,
softball, dance, basketball, multiple camps, and various other activities.
Graysen will be 11 in January, Leightyn is 9, Tristyn is 7, and Traysen just
turned 4 in December. Graysen and Dave got to do a lot of snowmobiling
last winter with all the snow we had, Graysen is missing that this year so
far. We remind him that there is a lot of winter left. The girls are enjoying
their 2nd year of dance and get to participate in competitions this year, so
they are excited. Traysen is enjoying farm life, riding in anything that is
driven by Papa or just being with Papa in general.
We are down a little bit on numbers this year due to a couple of dry years
and culling hard to make sure we can offer the top end. This group of
bulls is a high-quality set and deep as they have been. We sell in catalog
order and as we made the sale order and then started doing footnotes,
we aren’t sure why we put some bulls down as far as they are but they
can’t all be first! We have some full ET brothers that are going to give
consistent calves. Grassy Meadow Ranch’s objective has been to provide
Red Angus bulls with power, performance, and frame without giving up
the maternal qualities. Our powerful females have been proving to us that
they can also raise the calves that we strive for. We also have some pow-
erful heifer bulls in the offering that are a touch more moderate for those
heifers but don’t give up the length and muscling. We have some new
sire groups with LASO American Dream and HXC Constitution that we
purchased with Seeger & Rusch Red Angus. We also have a good group
of our powerhouse Power Kind bulls.
Visitors are welcome anytime of the year. The bulls are ready to view
anytime between now and sale day. We look forward to seeing you on
January 13, 2024. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or
comments about the sale offering or just want to talk cows in general. We
are here to serve you in any way we can and appreciate the support of our
program.
Sincerely,
David, Karissa, Graysen, Leightyn, Tristyn and Traysen
