Welcome to the 21st Annual
Hoiby Bull Sale
Time goes fast. This will be our 40th year raising
registered Simmental cattle.

We are very happy with this set of bulls and
females. These bulls and females will work in a
wide variety of operations. They are sound struc-
tured, easy fleshing with an easy-going disposi-
tion. The weaning weights are a little lighter than
normal this year because of extreme early heat,
very little summer rain and what seemed like
endless smoked-filled skies from Canadian wild-
fires. Most ranchers in our area reported weaning
weights 50-75 lbs. lighter than normal with some
as much as 100 lbs. lighter.

The bulls were fed the same ration as we’ve been
feeding for years – 15% protein pellets, corn si-
lage and chopped hay. We have comments every
year about the condition of the bulls coming off
pasture and the conception rate of their cows.
