P. 2

Welcome

Once again, we would like to welcome you to our 2024 production sale. We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support
        and interest in our program.

We have been focused on raising functional and efficient cows for 49 years. Our ideal is for them to stay in the herd for many years and raise
a big calf with little maintenance. We have a strict culling program for our cows. We pride ourselves on having numerous ten to fourteen-year-
olds that are still making the pathfinder report, proving longevity and performance in our herd. With all the new technologies available to us, our
selection criteria continue to remain the same. We put an emphasis on calving ease, length and bone in our cattle along with good feet and udder
        quality.

We started off the year with good moisture, but the combination of the rain stopping, coupled with the stable flies, and the grasshoppers being
terrible once again, made for light weaning weights. Some of these calves got weaned early during the summer. We put the bulls on feed for
a while and reevaluated them to select the top end of the calf crop. The ratios along with the EPDs will be a good indicator of what their real
performance is. The bulls were weaned at the end of September, and it didn’t take long for them to catch up once they were on good feed.
Without a doubt this year’s offering is one of the most uniform we have had to date. There is a large selection of heifer bulls and an outstanding
set of power bulls that will add pounds to your calf crop. The offering of Resilient bulls will be one of the largest offered anywhere and they are
sure to impress! Another sire group to watch are the Reward calves. He is a nice compliment to Resilient ¬– they will really catch your eye!

We worked with Derik Pierce of Anipro to develop a ration for us this year. We fed the bulls a high roughage ration consisting of alfalfa, grass
hay, silage, whole corn and oats in our own feedlot here at the ranch. We choose not to push our bulls on feed. We want them to gain about 2.75
to 3 lbs./day. This ensures that they will last for many years. Flax-Lic tubs are also offered to improve semen quality.

Our bulls are fertility tested by Dr. Gary Scheiber of High Plains Veterinary Clinic in Sidney, MT. A supplement sheet with yearling weights and
scrotal information will be available on sale day. All bulls have been DNA tested with Zoetis HD50K test.

We encourage you to go to www.barjvangus.com to view videos of the bulls.

You are welcome to come by the ranch anytime to view the bulls, heifers or the cows. We would love to show you our operation and offer help
with selections. We are always happy to discuss any questions you may have about our program or the cattle. If you are unable to attend, please
do not hesitate to call us or one of the representatives to help you with bull selection or your bids. The sale will be broadcast live on Northern
Livestock Video Auction. You have the option to register and bid with them as well.

There is a lot of optimism in the cattle industry right now! If you are interested in assistance marketing your calves, Dale is a representative for
        Northern Livestock Video Auction.

Thank you for your continued loyalty and support. We value your trust and confidence in us here at Bar JV Angus.

We look forward to seeing you on sale day.
