                                                                                                    AIN RED ANGUS

Welcome to Green Mountain RED Angus!

Welcome to our 25th bull sale! Everything starts somewhere, and our first bull sale in March of 2020 was a result of working our herd up through
the ranks to a point where we could progress from Private Treaty sales. Bob’s father, Jim Morton, had always dreamed of having his own bull sale
in his own sale facility, and that plan was put into action in 1999. Plans were drawn up for a sale facility and construction started in the fall. We
decided to hold our sale on the third Tuesday of March, and that date still holds. Unfortunately, Bob’s dad passed away in November of 1999, and
never saw his dream become reality. We all worked hard to meet the March deadline in the 3 months after his death, and we believe he is elated to
see us holding our 25th annual sale.

Since that first sale we have seen a lot of changes at GMRA. We have grown the herd by over 100 head. We have expanded feedlots and grow
out more cattle than ever. We now hold a female sale with three of our contemporary breeders in the area every fall. In the early 2000’s we hired
Jeremy Dunbar, who has moved on, but he and his family are still a vital part of our bull sale with their own consignments.

On the personal side, Tom and Katie welcomed a baby boy on November 13, 2023. Buck Walter Morton is a 6th generation Montana rancher, and
carries a strong name. His maternal great-great grandfather, Buck Foran, was a phenomenal bronc rider in the early 1900’s, and rode in Madison
Square Garden. His maternal great grandfather, Walter Steingruber, was an innovative commercial rancher who worked his family’s Montana ranch
near Three Forks his entire life.

Jim is vital to the operations at GMRA and is excelling as a professional photographer as well. One of the highlights of this last year was his con-
tract with local vintners to provide wine labels for their new enterprise. The first one, Cowboy Cabernet, is available, and there are more varietals
        on the way.

Bob and Julie are still at the helm, but continue to hand over more of the day-to-day leadership and decision-making to the boys. They are enjoy-
ing life as grandparents and watching Tom, Jim, and Katie become more and more invested in the future of GMRA. This fall we hired a new man,
Wynne DeVorss. He hails from Missouri and is a heck of a good hand. We are lucky to have found someone willing to work and ride for the brand.
