Dear Friends,

Welcome to the Heart River Ranch annual production sale. We appreciate your past patronage and interest in our
red angus cattle. It has been our pleasure to have had the opportunity to get to know and provide seed stock to our
loyal customers over these past 27 years.

A couple changes to note is that our sale in 2024 will highlight only the red angus cattle. Open A has scheduled
their production sale in April. Given the change we have added 40 open Heart River Ranch heifer calves to the
sale, about half of which are registered. The other half of those heifers represent every commercial Red Angus
heifer calf we were retaining for our own use. We hope to continue to provide heifers as a sale feature down the
road and believe these heifers represent an opportunity for customers to benefit from the maternal influence we
have bred into our herd. We also have a guest consigner, Frankie and Katie Dillman from Grassy Butte. Frankie
and Katie are bringing a dozen Red Angus commercial bred heifers that they would normally retain but given the
drought constraints they have dealt with in recent years, they are offering these bred heifers that have been raised
and developed in the North Dakota Badlands. These heifers will calve in a short window starting mid-April and were
exposed to Heart River Ranch bulls.

We will be hosting an open house all day on Tuesday, March 12, with refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. We will
have a slide presentation about the ranch we run in South Dakota, how it is operated and how the cattle are raised.
Given its remoteness, it is likely that most of our customers have never been on the ranch so we thought we would
bring the ranch to you. The bulls and heifers will also be available for viewing all day or anytime it is convenient for
you.

We are ready to assist you in any way we can in your selection process and in providing any information you may
need in your selections. As always you are welcome to view the bulls or heifers any time at the development lot just
three miles south of Belfield on HWY 85, just turn west at 40th St. SW and continue to the top of the hill. Additional
information will be provided by sale day and posted online as we gather it. You can also find pictures, videos, and
updated performance data such as carcass ultrasound and updated EPDS at www.heartrivergenetics.com as it is
made available.
