This gorgeous big Blue Roan lives up to his name and his Hancock
bloodlines with his easy-going temperament, and striking appear-
ance. As friendly as an oversized puppy dog, Sterling is incredibly
kind and gentle. His personality will make anyone smile and inspires
confidence in novice riders both in and out of the arena. Sterling is
sensible about life and covers the country with a pleasant ground covering walk.
Ride him out alone or in a group, he’s trustworthy either way. There’s no silliness
to him, he’s happy to go where you point and enjoy the day. If you’re ready to have
fun at the ropings, and head to the pay window – Sterling is ready to take you
there! Slow steers, fast steers, short scores, long scores – he can handle them all
with ease. Talented enough to make sure you are competitive under all conditions.
Sterling is the most user-friendly partner you’ll find. Quiet in the box, he’ll patiently
score and then run to a steer. Sterling rates, handles steers easily across the pen,
and finishes with a snappy face to shut off the clock. He’s plenty of horse for a 6+ header and his kindhearted temperament makes him very suitable for lower number
ropers. We’ve tested him with kids, seniors, and women, we all love him. Sterling doesn’t require tuning up, just go enjoy yourself and work on your roping. If you miss
your slack or your dally – no worries, he’s patient enough to let you get things gathered back up. Built to last with impressive bone from his Hancock bloodlines, Sterling
stands 15.3 and weighs 1300 lbs. He’s by PEPPER JOE HANCOCK, who has sired many standout rope horses. Sterling was bred for excellence on the Graves Ranch in
OK and carries their unique brand. Always a gentleman, Sterling has impeccable ground manners. He enjoys attention and has a kind soft eye that his personality shines
