50 Head Commercial Red Angus/Simmental Commercial Heifers

These heifers are February and March born calves and have been on a
full vaccination program with four rounds of shots at birth, pasture turn out,
preweaning, and at weaning.
In December they were Bangs Vaccinated, pelvic measured, checked
open and breedable. They were given Bovi Shield Gold FP5/ VL5, Type A
shot and EID Bangs tags by Dr. Cassie Holtz from the Bowdle Vet Clinic.
They have never had creep feed and have been on a 45-mega cal ration,
salt blocks and were given Safeguard dewormer in November.
The heifers should have a sale day weight of 900-950 pounds. These
heifers are mostly sired by Perspective Sons from Crosshair Simmental.

37 Red Simmental/Red Angus Heifers

These heifers are the pick from the 2023 heifer crop. Picked for maternal
characteristics. No heifers have been kept back; these are the top end of
the entire heifer crop. These heifers come from many years of sires from
Crosshair Simmental genetics. Heifers will be averaging 800 pounds.

The Heifers at birth were given Ultrabac CD
June 15 – Inforce 3, One Shot BVD, 7 Way/ Som
October 25 – Cattle Master Gold, One Shot and 7 Way/Som

November 26 – Bovi Shield Gold, Somubac, Dectomax injectable and
poured with Clean Up.
January 23 – Bangs vaccinated and pregnancy checked open and
breedable by the Steele Veterinary Clinic

April 1 – Bovi Shield Gold VL5 and poured with Clean Up.
