P. 4
Welcome Welcome
It is an honor to have you take the time to look through our 2025 catalog. This past year we celebrated
70 years of the Red Angus Association, a cornerstone breed known for quality genetics, maternal traits,
and adaptability in the cattle industry. These bulls represent years of dedicated breeding selection with a
focus on traits that truly matter – fertility, maternal, growth and carcass quality. This year’s lineup frankly
speaks for itself. Top-notch genetics with proven performance ready to take your herd to the next level.
If you need to add a notch of frame size, growth, or maternal quality, we are confident you will find what
you need at this sale.
We spend a vast amount of time thinking about what you, the customer, want and need. You and your operations are important to us. We try to
find the bulls to keep those of you whom market by the pound profitable while keeping balanced traits in mind for those that market cattle on the
rail and keep genetics for those of you who retain heifers. Red Angus cattle have forever been known for their maternal abilities and always will
be but that does not mean they cannot hang a prime carcass on the rail. This set of bulls have genomic enhanced EPDs, carcass ultrasound data
and are parent verified so you can rest easy knowing they are what we say they are. The work is all done. Now you just need to pick what works
for you. We have all their actual performance data available upon request. We would love to talk cattle (or goats…hahaha!) with you and help
you make your investment decisions.
We will have video footage of the bulls the week prior to the sale. The bulls will be at Hub City Livestock on Friday before the sale for you to sort
through. You are always welcome to swing by the Ranch prior to sale weekend to see them as well. We have already had several visitors see the
bulls at the ranch and they have all stated how impressed they are with foot quality and uniformity in the offering. These bulls have been on a
strict herd health program. We can keep the bulls after the sale for a limited time, but you need to be in contact with us to let us know if we need
to bring them home from the auction barn. We feed them free until March 15th after that you may be invoiced for feed and bedding costs. We
do our best to coordinate delivery at the least possible cost to the buyer.
The Red Angus bulls will sell at 1 p.m. in catalog order. The Flittie and Schnabel bulls will sell immediately after the Red Angus, approximately
1:45 p.m. Sale Supplement sheets will be available for all breeds on sale day, on our website, DVAuction and our Facebook pages.
Hope to see you on sale day. If not you are always welcome to stop in for a visit! As always, do not forget about our goat sale April 26, 2025,
broadcast live on DV Auction.
Sit down, buckle up and buy Red! I am confident we will have some exciting times ahead!

Welcome to our 2025 Simmental Bull Sale
I listened to the market report from Aberdeen Livestock for the Monday sale while I was doing
chores this morning and they said feeder cattle were $3-7 higher than last week. It’s a great time
to be in the cattle business.
Our calves were weaned on November 1st. They took right off on feed and are doing really well. The calves do not get creep feed, the weaning
weights come from grass and milk. Cattle are on a herd health program from the Hosmer Veterinary Clinic (605-283-2278).
All the bulls have been DNA tested with genomically enhanced EPDs, parent verification, coat color, and horn/polled. All the info plus ADG,
yearling weights, and scrotal measurements will be on supplement sheets before the sale the first part of February.
If you have questions before the sale, feel free to call. You are welcome to view the bulls at the ranch anytime. Bulls will be at the sale barn
Friday afternoon.
As always, thank you for your interest.
