Here is your perfect ranch horse! Stony is gentle, gentle, gen-
tle! This gelding is the best minded and quietest horse we’ve
had on the place! He is safe for kids, mom, dad, grandpa or
grandma! You won’t have to worry about anybody who is
mounted on this one! He will stand anywhere patiently while you get on
and off. Laid back as he is though, you won’t have to ask twice for him to
step it up to go catch and doctor cattle, drag calves, gather a big pasture
or compete at a ranch rodeo or similar event. Stony is always willing to
adapt to any situation and level of rider. He loves doing work and especial-
ly enjoys riding out, gathering cows or getting to do some roping. He’s a
dream to ride and will do literally anything you ask. He’s done just about
everything for us on the ranch and has traveled thousands of miles with
us to cutting horse shows. He won’t spook in the bright lights of town or
shy away from traffic. He has settled countless herds of cattle and been
used to turnback at big events like the NCHA World Finals and NCHA
Futurity. Stony has the perfect mind set and know how to be used for
versatility and rope horse competitions. His sire, PG DRY FIRE has produced winners in cutting, reined cowhorse, barrel racing and PRCA rodeo events
including Shane Hanchey’s amazing mare that won him 2nd in the average for the calf roping at the 2024 NFR! With legends such as PLAYGUN and DOC
BAR on his papers, you know that you are looking at a quality horse with generations of great horses before him. The history on this guy’s papers speaks
for itself! Stony stands 15.1HH and is strong so there’s nothing he can’t do. His kindness and loving nature make him very special. He’s always easy to
catch, has perfect barn and trailer manners and gets along well with other horses. Stony is just 6 years old and has a lifetime of happy rides ahead of him.
