I have kept my eye on this heifer all summer but is that really any surprise when you see she is
sired by High Capacity 224!? Will she work in a show ring, probably not since she breaks a little
UBAR High Capacity 224, sire behind the shoulders but that doesn’t bother me in a brood cow, especially when they are made
this long. I have mentioned numerous times during AI season that we are going to breed every
female on our place to High Capacity some year and maybe if I put it in writing we may just end
up doing it. Year in and year out 224 consistently produces not only top end heifers but bulls as
well. Kyle Gilchrist has said numerous times that he can’t imagine that we have any semen left on
the bull since the progeny always sell like hot cakes. Moderate birth, high growth and dark red –
oo-la-la!

This heifer may not have quite the eye appeal that her full sister did last year but she is every bit as
good! This Z09 dam from Mann Ranch hits a homerun every year. We should probably think about
Lot 17 putting her in our fl ush program but if you notice the vast majority of cows we fl ush are over 8
years old. Guess I like to make sure they prove themselves fi rst. Don’t sit around and wait too long
to bid on her. Jerry Kaup got her full sister last year so you know she defi nitely has eye appeal and
a pedigree to back it up. Did you notice the dam goes back to High Capacity 224?

One of the few Rolltide calves we had this year and boy oh boy is she a dandy. Did you see that This Rolltide daughter out of a 6-year-old dam that boasts an MPPA 104.62, tipped the scales
ratio of 112 weaning with a 205-day weight of almost 700 pounds and a dam with a 106.15 MPPA. with a 205-day weight at 719 pounds. The hardest part of selling these females is the fact that we
I will not say much about this heifer hoping you won’t see many footnotes and pass her by. A girl always breed them like we want them in our own herd. Her future mating possibilities are endless
has to hope … right? It is defi nitely hard watching the good ones leave the ranch. and, of course, I would love to help you fi gure it out.
