Sweet, gentle, goes anywhere, does anything while being ridden by
anyone. Safe and broke. Ellie is a go-to for novice riders and children.
She will shift gears for an advanced rider and show off her reining skills
and big, ground-covering walk. Ellie shows diversity as she is an excellent
pack mule and shows no concern over the chaos of packing an elk off a
remote steep hillside. She stands quiet to be loaded and waits patiently for
departure. A true professional. She is unfazed by nearby reactive animals,
showing only confi dence and her relaxed nature. An easy-to-catch, in-your-
pocket, follow-you-around-while-you-do-chores kind of mule. She has all
the fancy line back dun markings, with bold zebra stripes on all four legs.
She is a truly beautiful mule, inside and out. Ellie is perfect for a day on the
trail, an afternoon in the arena or a day in the rocks. She rides bareback
and double, she will carry a person, a dog (Rosie, our heeler) a child, an
elk, antlers, etc. She is very dependable – throw a kid on her and have
her follow you down the trail all day, or hop on and pull a pack string, ride
off alone and look for antlers, whatever you need, our very versatile Ellie
has your back. All Petersen Mule Co. Auction Mules are purchased with
the option of a free three-day clinic at our facility to ensure a successful
transition to their new home. Each mule we bring to the sale has been
screened and carefully chosen for this select sale. All our sale mules have
logged countless trail miles and arena hours. They are professionals in our
obstacle course; they each lay down on cue. They have spent time pulling
a pack string and have each been packed. They all cross water, downfall,
bridges, drag logs, you can stand on their back, crack a whip, carry a fl ag,
bathe, clip, shoe, trailer, hobble, catch and lead. They have been trained to
pick you up from a gate, mounting block or stump.
