Skip is an eye-catching buckskin-colored dun that loves
people! He is nice and gentle but has the get-up-and-go a
guy needs when he is asked to do so. Skip is big and strong
enough to carry a man all day and still go rope after work
if you want to, yet he is gentle enough my 7-year-old picks Skip to ride
whenever he can. Skip is fi ne with a short ride or an all-day job! We have
had him all his life and he has always been fun to be around. We have used
him in the mountains a lot. He has been on many trail rides, hunting trips
and moving cattle. We have also packed on him. He is willing and able
to do any ranch job that comes up. We have roped cattle in the pasture,
moved cattle on the highway and through brush and timber. He has been
used at branding, dragging calves and chasing bulls. We are roping in
the arena and he does great on both the head and heel side. He will cross
water, logs and ditches. He is good at all of it. He will stand quietly to be
saddled and lowers his head for the bridle. He will move over to a step
for an easy mount. We are riding him some bridleless and he does well
with leg commands. Skip has good feet and is easy to shoe. All in all, he’s
a great horse that’s ready to do what you want! He is easy to catch and
knows what whoa means.

Starlight has been used in all phases of ranch work. He is also a fi nished
head horse that we have hauled and won on. Rodey rode him at the Work-
ing Ranch Rodeo Championship World Finals in 2019, Red Steagall Ranch
Rodeo and numerous other ranch rodeos. We have used him on several
big ranches to brand, wean and ship on. Starlight has been used extensive-
ly in the wheat pastures. This horse is a pleasure to own and is proven in
every way possible.
