                                                               “Turtle” is the prettiest little blue roan mare we have ever laid
                                                               eyes on! She is a 6-year-old grade mare that stands right at
                                                               14.2 hands tall and is built to last! She has been a part of our
                                                               family almost as long as we have been a family! We bought
                                                               her as a coming 2-year-old and have been infatuated with her ever since!
                                                               She is the epitome of a dead broke family horse. She defi nes the word
                                                               safe! Turtle can best be described as a horse that was just born gentle and
                                                               broke. There isn’t a thing you can’t do on this little horse! Turtle is safe for
                                                               the entire family but is looking to be a step-up horse for a younger rider
                                                               (she ADORES kids!) or the most perfect match for someone looking for a
                                                               safe and versatile horse to enjoy for many, many years to come! She has a
                                                               “let’s go” attitude and loves to lead the pack to work! She could double as
                                                               the family dog with her sweet lovable nature; she will lay her head in your
                                                               lap and relish the love you give her! Turtle has seen every aspect of ranch
                                                               life there is to see. She will lope off before the sun comes up and carry you
                                                               all day long in the hills or on the trails. She has never been buddy sour,
                                                               rather the stark opposite, she is one that likes to hang off on her own or
                                                               come fi nd a person to give her a little extra attention. She is the fi rst one
                                                               to greet you and will lope away from her herd mates to come fi nd you on
                                                               the meadow. Turtle is truly that one-in-a-million mare. You couldn’t ask for
                                                               a better combination of beauty, conformation, dependability, and talent.
                                                               She has packed kids through the 4-H events at fair, roped and doctored
                                                               yearlings on pasture, carried bum calves back to the barn, taught me how
                                                               to heel in the arena, drug hundreds of calves to the fi re at branding time,
                                                               walked quietly with the little riders, and has carried me many a mile in
                                                               the hills. She is the safest horse I have ever had the pleasure of owning
                                                               and is truly the horse everyone has spent a lifetime searching for. Turtle
                                                               knows her leads, listens to your seat and legs, is soft in the bridle, and
                                                               will pack you anywhere in nothing but a war bridle or a string around her
                                                               neck. Wish to go for a quick ride but don’t want to tack up? No problemo
                                                               for Turtle! Just smooch her over to your mounting block of choice (fence,
                                                               bucket, bale) and she will scoop you up bareback and head in any direction
                                                               you choose! That little trick has come in handy more times than I can
                                                               count! Whomever is lucky enough to take her home, is taking home a
                                                               piece of our little family. She means the world to us and we feel she needs
                                                               to fi nd a home that can grow with her through the years and accomplish
                                                               big things! We feel she has more than paid her dues on the ranch and is
                                                               ready for a life of luxury with the perfect family! We know this little mare
                                                               is destined to do much bigger things than we could ever dream of and we
                                                               feel honored to be able to offer her through this elite sale. Rest assured
