Welcome to the 18th Annual
Hoiby Bull Sale

This will be our 37th year raising registered
Simmental cattle. The bulls in this year’s sale
are the best set of bulls ever raised at the Hoiby
Ranch. There are bulls that would work on
heifers to bulls that would work in a seedstock
operation, but mainly these bulls are bred for the
commercial cow/calf operation.

These bulls have been fed a growing ration of
CHS 15% protein pellet, corn silage and chopped
hay. They were fed this ration to develop muscle,
not fat, to ensure longevity, fertility and
soundness. I am a fi rm believer in not pushing
bulls to make them fat. By feeding this way, these
bulls will be more fertile, with better soundness
and last as breeding bulls for more years.
