Bucky is by a son of DOS PALOMINO who has earned 16
AQHA performance points and a NCHA LTE of $203,497.67.
He is out of a foundation bred mare that is by POCO JAMES
KING sire to numerous rope and ranch horses. This gelding
was born a 1/2 mile from my house on the Chisum Ranch. I have had the
pleasure of watching him mature into a very nice gelding with all the eye
appeal you could want. I acquired Bucky when he was 5 years old, he is
7 years young now. He is big boned, big footed, and has a gorgeous long
mane and tail. He stands 15.1 and weighs roughly 1300 lbs. Bucky is an
absolute gentleman for anyone no matter if he is rode once a year or every
day. He is the same horse every time, if you can ride, you can ride Bucky.
This guy is an excellent head horse that has been hauled to local jackpots,
USTRC, World Series and many team ropings. He stays quiet and makes the same trip every time. He is a very easy, kind
rope horse, all while having the speed when needed. Bucky has traveled to an array of ranch rodeos. This big horse will do
all the things one of his kind normally can’t. He is quite the exception. This gelding has seen the canyons, rode the trails,
crossed the waters, and endured the rocky country. He is solid. Bucky will bathe, shoe, and clip with ease. He has been
special to us and we will miss him, especially my 3-year-old that can ride him. Bucky is 100% sound, gentle, and one of the

19 TONKA
2010 Blue Roan Grade
Gelding 16.0 HH Draft-Cross
Tonka is a true blue roan, 16 hands, 1300 lbs. He is cute headed,
short backed, has a big hip and tons of bone. He wears a size 4
shoe. Tonka has a great personality easy to catch anywhere and
safe for the family. Each summer for the last 5 years he has been
taking care of guests at the Buffalo Bill Ranch outside of Cody, Wy. He has
been ridden by all ages of riders in the mountains from day trips to hunting
camp. He’s seen so many miles in the mountains both riding and as a pack
horse. He is great in a pack string and packed-out game. Tonka has been used
around the ranch to doctor cattle and to brand calves he knows how to pull
from the horn and how to hold a rope tight. He is happy to ride in any position
in a group or ride off alone. Tonka is a great addition to anyone’s program, let
him set for the winter and he rides off the same as he always has come spring.
He has a great one-handed neck rein and is soft in the bridle and ribs. He rides
well in the arena, he will work gates, is solid out on the trail and traffi c safe
too. He gets along well with other livestock, horses, cows, llama, pot belly
pigs, dogs, and all types of Poultry. Tanka Is waiting to make all your back
country dreams come true or if you are looking for a fabulous trail horse, he is
your guy. Tonka is your all-around good citizen form guests to hunting camp
to the ranch he will do it all. Tonka is an easy going guy that is easy to enjoy.
