is very gentle and has impeccable manners. There aren’t many horses
that have his athleticism and his patience. He is truly the kindest horse
I’ve ever ridden. He’s the same every day, tries hard to please, and is
a pleasure to own. His good mind means he’s never been pushed or
overused in his training. He takes everything in stride, which has given

and adults of all skill levels and has even given a couple of people their

lopes cute circles, bridles up nicely, changes leads, has a nice, consistent
turnaround, and works a cow out of the herd and down the fence. This is
a very broke dude with lots of buttons and a solid foundation. He’s been
shown in the new AQHA Ranch Trail class and the AQHA Ranch Riding,
where judges loved his keen expression, fl uid way of traveling, naturally
low headset, and loose reins. He will be shown in the Reined Cowhorse this spring. He’d be a great candidate for Versatility Ranch Horse or to continue
on in the Cowhorse for a rider of any level. Logan rides like a fi nished horse one-handed in a shank bit and is also very soft in a snaffl e bit or hackamore.
He has roped the sled and the lead steer and would be an outstanding breakaway or heel horse prospect with his cowiness and huge stop. This would
be an incredible horse for a kid to grow up with and never outgrow. The outside stuff: Logan has been in some rough country! I’ve used him outside to
gather in a wide variety of terrain ranging from big sagebrush desert to steep, rocky, mountains. He was raised outside and is sure-footed and good mov-
ing in all types of landscapes whether you’re trail riding or gathering. He crosses water of all kinds. He’s been to brandings and roped both ends and has
also roped bigger cattle, where he was strong from the horn and all business. We’re building a new arena on our place, and I’ve hobbled him while I’m
running the cutting torch and then used him to drag posts where they belong. I use him to pack my gopher traps when I’m trapping in our hayfi elds. He’s
also my irrigation horse. There’s not many that’ll lead around and not spook while you move a wheel line, but he does! Logan has ponied other horses
all over and helped start colts. He’s also put in some days at the sale yard, where he was straightforward and reliable. The family stuff: Tomcat Chex, Lo-
gan’s sire, won $148,000+ in the NCHA and has produced more than $500,000 in earnings across a wide range of western disciplines. The Tomcat Chex
progeny are known for being good-minded and athletic, and Logan would fi t right in at a family reunion. His breeder tells me his dam is a sweetheart of
a mare who spent her career as a ranch horse and a pickup horse. She’s a daughter of Senor Gallo Rojo, who is an NRCHA money earner and SDRCHA
Futurity Champion. He’s by the great Gallo Del Cielo. Logan is a real treasure of a gelding that is sound, solid, and hasn’t been overused. His x-rays are
clean, and his conformation is built to last. He is sure to become a part of your family for many years to come…and he even keeps his pen tidy. For more
