Colonel is such an awesome, all around fun horse that truly
anyone of any level of riding will fall in love with. He is a
registered AQHA 5-year-old 15.1 hand gelding that is well
trained in the reining pattern and loves to go out of his way
to please you in all that you ask him to do. He can go from a day showing
in either the ranch riding or reining world, to the next day taking a leisure
stroll through the woods. He is a real versatile all-around horse for the
entire family to enjoy. He will take care of any rider that is put on his back.
He is so willing and easy going that any age rider will love to get him out
and take him for a ride. If you are looking for a horse to learn on, he will
be that horse for you. He is forgiving and can take whatever is thrown at
him. Colonel has taken to our program like he has been here with us his
entire life. We cannot fi nd a thing wrong with him at all. He has three very
smooth, easy to ride gaits that you can get to go slow and steady, or you
can push him out to a nice long stride without a major push. We love his
laid-back personality as he makes it so much fun to take him to new places
as he just settles without causing a fuss at all. He has a fun-loving way
about him, that he just looks for you whenever you come to the barn, he
loves the attention that you give him, and he will come right to you when
you call him. Don’t get us wrong, when it comes to business, this boy re-
ally knows how to turn it on. He has a fantastic stop, a steady turnaround,
and amazing even balance. He has been on miles and miles of trails as
well, and will go through water, over bridges, and is safe in traffi c. We are
