Big, gorgeous and black! Max has a bold presence about him that
doesn’t go unnoticed. He is a deluxe ranch horse and is fancy enough
for the ranch foreman. Max has a great cowboy walk and can cover
some ground, a fancy handle and he’s strong enough to pull an ele-
phant if you dallied up to it. From dragging calves to the fi re, sorting and doctoring
yearlings, and gathering strays, this horse has done it all on the ranch. He’s been
used in rough terrain and ridden in the mountains. Crossing water, logs and pushing
through brush is no problem for Max. This gelding is one heck of a head horse too!
He will work for any level of roper. He’s level headed, quiet minded and has been
easy to train. Max is perfect in the box, leaves fl at off your hand, has lots of speed,
great rate, and is overall simple to rope on. He can handle time off and will be the
same horse when you ride him again. Max is a gentleman in all sense of the word.
He is calm, kind and loves attention. Meeting you at the gate in the morning and
following you back to the pen at night, he will be your best friend if you let him. This

spins, long stops, easy lead changes and would make an exceptional show horse in
the Cowhorse events and Ranch Versatility competitions. Nothing bothers this guy. He’s been exposed
to oodles of dogs, loud gunfi re, goats, blowing tarps, noisy traffi c, heavy machinery and everything
else on our busy ranch. Sugar is great outside and enjoys leisurely cruising down the trails. He’s con-
fi dent alone and will go right where you point him. Sugar disposition is spot on and you will love his
