As cowboy lookin’ as they come and stamped with dun factor galore!
Gringo has the black face, tiger-striped legs up to his belly, a thick
dorsal stripe and bulldog-style conformation measuring just as wide
as he is tall. Gringo is the last colt we raised out of our stud, Lil Ruf
Catalyst, six-time AQHA World Champion. We have done a little bit of everything on
Gringo. He’s very adaptive, quick to learn, and eager to please. He will perform all
the reining/cowhorse maneuvers with an easy lead change, solid spins, and a stylish
sliding stop. He’s a pretty mover with a naturally low head set. He has a rocking-chair
lope with pretty circles, a nice ground-covering long trot across the pasture and a
super smooth jog that you can sit all day long. Gringo has been used for all types of cow work. He’s been cut on, boxed on and down the fence. He’s loaded with natural
cow and has a pretty working style. He’s quiet and easy going and will not shake up a herd. Gringo has been roped on in the pasture, steer stopped out of the box and
roped the sled. He has great rate and timing which lets you focus on roping. He is very smooth and comfortable to ride. We have ridden Gringo a million outside miles, all
over our north Texas ranch as well as throughout the Arizona desert. He is an absolute dream to ride outside and willingly goes right where you point him through rocky
and rough mountain terrain, running river water, knee-deep mud, tall brush and prickly cactus. He side passes to open and shut all the gates, smoothly goes over the
logs and bridges, and will drag whatever you dally to the saddle horn. Gringo is very easy to handle on the ground and is always gentle. He is the same horse every time
you saddle him with zero silly business. He is good with noisy traffi c, loud gunfi re, blowing tarps, crazy dogs and wildlife. Gringo has all the talent and ability to go horse
show in the Ranch Versatility, Ranch Riding and Cowhorse events. He would be a phenomenal ranch horse that is fancy enough for the boss man to ride or he would be
just as happy being your partner for the recreational trail rides or avid cross country competitions. Gringo’s distinctive and “ranchy” look has a presence that turns heads
everywhere we take him. This is an outstanding young gelding that can easily go any direction!

Crenshaw is a very gentle, dependable ranch horse that we have
counted on time after time. Crenshaw was started as a cutter
that just grew too much! He is also a fi nished head horse that we
have hauled and won on! He scores perfect every time, he runs
hard, has a big move and can really face like one is supposed to! We have
done everything possible on this horse on the ranch. We gather, brand, sort,
and wean cattle on this horse! Crenshaw is outstanding to ride outside with
a group or by yourself. We have rode him many miles ranching on him. He
knows what it is like to work for a living. Don’t let his age fool you – this horse
is laid back and easy going. Anyone can ride him. He will stay the same no
matter how long he has had off. If you want a great horse that is dog gentle,
Crenshaw should be your pick. Crenshaw is an own son of Smart Sugar Badger who
has won $178,000 in the cutting pen. Smart Sugar Badger is a son of Smart Little
Lena. Please come try him before the sale.
