Rascal is a cute, cute blue roan gelding! He stands 14.3 hands
and is as gentle of a 5-year-old as we’ve owned. He is very
willing and eager to please! Rascal packs the La Escalera “Ladder” Ranch brand. He was
born and raised in the rocks of Fort Stockton, TX, on one of the largest ranches in West
Texas. We bought Rascal as a 3-year-old and he has been one of Brooke’s go-to ranch horses. He is very
laid back and easy going. He would be perfect for the whole family to use and enjoy! We brand, gather
and use him for every other ranch chore possible. We have been heeling on him in the arena and feel like
any level of roper could get along with him due to his laid back nature. Rascal is great to shoe and bathe.
He gets along with children and dogs great. Rascal would make a neat breakaway horse! We have used
Rascal outside doctoring wheat pasture cattle as well. There isn’t anything that this horse can’t do! We
would love for you to come and try Rascal before the sale! Additional vet checks are always welcome!

horse bloodlines in the Appaloosa and Quarter Horse industry, including Hall of Fame
performer and sire High Sign Nugget. He’s bred and built to perform. “H” has not only
been in fulltime training with Cody Crow for reined cowhorse, but he also went through a rigorous program with Patty Wilber to ensure his sane durabil-
ity on the trails, in the mountains and on the ranch. His upbringing was slow, correct and versatility oriented. He is extremely calm, safe, and pleasant
to be around. While he can tote someone on the trails like a well-traveled gentleman and reliably drag calves to the fi re like a veteran, he can mean 100%
business in the show pen and outwork any cow he is put on. He’s got a motor and moves! He can be suitable for younger riders, but he still has a lot of
buttons, so being handy as a rider is a little more ideal if one chooses to go do working cow. This horse won’t let himself get beat by a cow, so get ready!
Besides the fast-paced demands of working cow events, he is a delightful ride in ranch versatility classes as well! This guy can spin a hole in the dirt, ef-
fortlessly fl oat on fl ying changes, and slide 20 feet – 10 minutes later you can leave the arena, go ride through water and through treacherous mountains,
or rope calves out in the pasture. He LOVES water – you’ll have fun with him! The whole family is going to adore this horse and there’s no doubt you’ll
