Kix is a gorgeous golden palomino gelding that we are so
proud to offer at this sale. Absolutely anyone can ride him. Kix
stands 14.2 hands and is very thick made. He is super safe
and sane. We have done just about everything on him, and
he always says yes without any fuss. Kix is a NRCHA money earner in the
Open and Non-Pro division. Kix is solid in all three events: cutting, reining
and fence work. He could easily be shown by a youth though or you could
take him and show him in the NRHA or the NCHA. He will excel there also.
He is a dream to show because he never gets worried about anything. He
just goes in and does his job. It is hard to fi nd one as talented yet as gentle
as he is. He’s been shown in versatility classes where he competed in the
trail, ranch pleasure and conformation classes and was a winner! You can
ride him straight up in the bridle or completely bridleless. He is the brokest
horse we have ever owned. He will plus all of his reining maneuvers. He
has good turnarounds, is an easy lead changer, and his stops are huge!
Kix is very cowy and you better be ready if you take one down the fence
because he has the great fence turns. This gelding isn’t just a show pony
though! He’s been used on the ranch to gather cattle, doctor, and he’s been used to drag calves to the fi re. He would make a top-notch heel or calf
roping horse, also. Kix is my daughter’s go-to horse for everything including trail rides and carrying the American fl ag at our church’s UPRA rodeo. He
isn’t spooky at all and he takes everything in stride. He has been exposed to tarps, dogs, water crossing, cracking whips, traffi c, bridges, he drags logs,
and he is sure footed in all terrains. Kix has also been taken to a kids’ camp to be used for lessons for complete beginners. He is that gentle. He also
knows a lot of tricks! He will lay down, sit and sidepass over to a gate or mounting block to pick you up on command. Kix has been used at several
big training demos to show off his bridleless riding and trick training. He has no vices at all, and he is sound. You can give him time off and he will be
the same horse as the last time you rode him. He is sired by Downtown Cat $88,182 LTE, who is by the famous High Brow Cat (NCHA $84 MILLION
DOLLAR SIRE), and he’s out of Shining Zanzee (producer of over $90,000). She is an own daughter of Shining Spark who needs no introduction. Don’t
