Black Orchid Trooper (Montana) is a beautiful, tri-colored Gyp-
sy-cross gelding. He is 6 years old, stands 15 HH and weighs 1200
lbs. He is extremely gentle, beautiful and is great to ride and drive!
Montana was imported from Canada as a yearling. He is a cross of
a registered Gypsy stallion on a nice mare. He has a beautiful head,
gorgeous feathering on his feet and strong hip. Montana is incredibly smart, has
the best attitude and is always very patient and kind! He has a nice handle as he
neck reins well and moves off leg pressure. Montana has a very balanced trot and
rhythmic, soft lope. He is more whoa than go and is very trustworthy – great for
the whole family! Montana has been ranched on and has pushed cattle. He has
also been ridden in the feedlot and through cattle! He has been trail ridden many
miles in rough country. He has exceptional bone size and big, strong hooves. He is
sure-footed and confident on the trail. Also, Montana drives both single and dou-
ble! He does a great job hitched to a cart and is traffic safe. Montana has also been
taught to lay down on command. He has absolutely no buck or soundness issues!
He stands well to be bathed and stands like a rock when tied! We are excited for

Allow us to introduce Captain! He is a big, strong bay roan gelding
who has a personality the size of Texas! We have owned Captain his
whole life and we are sure proud of the horse that he has become.
He stands 14.3 HH and will weigh 1200 pounds. We have ranched
on this horse his whole life, used him in the feedyard, packed him
to the ranch rodeos and team ropings. Captain has been on winning ranch rodeo
teams and collected checks at the team ropings at all levels. He will watch a cow
with the best of them! He has always been one that we don’t like to leave at home
when we have a job that has to be done. He’s steady, dependable and a joy to be
around. Captain has been used to gather cows, drag calves and sort pairs. Brooke
was the first person to ever rope on him as a 4-year-old and together they doctored
hundreds of grass pasture cattle that summer! He was so much fun from day
one. We have ridden him on big ranches in Texas where he has been ridden miles
and never seen another person. Assorted wildlife, running water or traffic doesn’t
faze him. Captain is a fun heel horse that anyone can get along with! He has a big,
sliding stop that will halt a freight train in its tracks. We have headed on him as
well. He’s the perfect-sized World Series horse that gives you an advantage over the WSTR barrier. Captain is
an own son of the well-known Wichita Ranch stallion, Mecom Blue, an NCHA Open Derby finalist and a Top
20 Leading Cutting Sire whose foals have earned more than $2 million. As always, we highly recommend
