Buttercup is not only America’s favorite color, but he will quickly
become your favorite horse. At only 5 years old, this gelding is the
confi dence builder every rider needs. Maximum Burn is a 15.1HH, 1050 lbs., prod-
uct of Betts Quarter Horses, Alberta, CA. He is by Eyem Still Smoking ($15,000 CA
Roping/Halter) and out of Bueno Jabalena ($5,000 CA Reining). The Betts Family
prides their program in breeding well-mannered athletes that fi t many disciplines, and Buttercup
certainly achieved that goal. He is the go-to horse on the ranch for checking and gathering cattle,
2 or 82, the jockey’s age doesn’t matter for him. He is a joy in the pasture and on the trails, a
fi nished head horse and a beauty in the arena presenting the fl ag or enjoying the local parade, he
is the choice for us. He has competed in a Ranch Trail Class and Obstacle Challenge with a novice
jockey, been ridden in English tack and started in mounted shooting. He is one of a kind and his
distinctive leg mark is always a conversation piece when in the saddle and adds to his charm. Gentle, willing and talented are just a
few of his traits. You will not be disappointed making him a part of your family. He has smooth leads, easy neck rein, turn around,
stop and back-up. He loves bath time, hair trimming and the farrier. He is kind and respectful of the smallest jockey including our
toddler who enjoys giving him treats and calling him in to feed. Once bonded with you, Buttercup will follow you around at liberty
and picks up on new tasks with ease. He is the same horse everyday no matter the setting. Absolutely no buck or bad habits, hauls great and does not stress away from
home, always eats and drinks. Please call with questions or email audrahelms@gmail.com. Buttercup is at our home ranch in Eufaula, OK. We welcome anyone to come
and meet him before sale day. Audra Deckard • Deckard Performance Horses • 918-617-1687
58 HAT CREEKS SPOOK
2015 Black/Brown IDSHR #202102918
Gelding 15.2 HH
DRAFT X QUARTER HORSE
Hat Creeks Spook is a 2015 Draft/Quarter Horse-cross gelding who
is registered with the International Draft & Sporthorse Registry. He’s
15.2HH, stout-made, and wears a size 4 shoe all the way around. He
is the biggest sweetheart who really wants to please! This big guy is perfect for
the whole family to ride – any level of experience, and he sure loves kids. You can
saddle him up and he will ride out the same every time, even after all winter off.
He has a nice, quiet disposition, a very willing attitude, and this pretty boy is sure
to get you noticed! He has been on numerous trail rides where he has walked over
bridges, navigated downed logs, and will cross water quietly. This guy will go just about anywhere you
point him. He is aware of his surroundings, is very sure footed, really gets low and slow coming down
steep hills and always takes great care of his riders. Spook keeps his cool in spooky situations and is
good with a variety of different animals such as dogs, cats, sheep, pigs and goats to name a few. He has
a big, smooth lope, will long trot outside all day, and this guy can really cover some country. Spook is a
solid ranch horse and has literally done it all! We have roped bulls on him, branded calves, loaded cows,
trailed pairs and sorted, just to name a few! This boy has even been to town a bunch; has seen the lights
and competed in ranch rodeos. He has been the miles over all types of country and travels well! He will
stand tied all day, is quiet to saddle and bridle, moves off leg pressure, can open and close gates, will ride bareback and
double, and will even ride around bridleless. He is not bothered by tarps, will carry a fl ag, and is great through traffi c and
with motorcycles. He is sound and is current on dental work. We have had him since he was a 2-year-old and have really
enjoyed this horse; we want him to go on to a great home. He has a dent on the left shoulder which has never bothered
him. Please contact us with any questions or to come meet him.
