Here is one that will take your heart. Wimpy Lil River is a 2018 regis-
tered AQHA gelding that stands 15HH tall. He is by Wimpy Lil Badger
who is by the incredible, $12 million – almost $13-million sire, Wimpys
Little Step. Wimpys Little Step just retired from breeding this year and his
legacy is growing and growing by the year. To be able to get a horse with
this lineage is one for the books. Royal, as we call him, is out of Baileys River Bottom
which is an appendix mare by the Quarter Horse stallion, Tardys Playboy. This guy
is not only a very good-looking, well-put-together gelding, he is also a sweetheart.
He has a heart of gold and loves to spend time with anyone, especially the children
at the farm. He goes out of his way to please and is one of the easiest horses that
we have worked with. His willing and laid-back personality has made us confi dent in
knowing that he will always take care of his rider. He drops his head for the girls to put
his halter on, he doesn’t mind being taken on play dates at the swing set with them,
and he loves to go on any adventure that you want to take him on. He started his life
in reining training, and he knows all the moves and has an easy turn around and a
smooth steady stop. He has three smooth, easy-to-ride gaits with a collected jog and
a beautiful extended trot. He has a wonderful neck rein and responds well to your seat
and leg cues. He can go English and western and has been a lot of fun to ride bare-
back with no bridle. Royal has been on lots of trail rides and has no problem riding off
the farm alone. He does great in large group rides and doesn’t mind being the leader or fall somewhere in the middle. He walks right onto the trailer and comes off and
ties to the trailer and waits patiently for you to get ready to hit the trail. He will cross any type of water, from creeks to rivers and even that little puddle on the trail. He
has been ridden in traffi c and does not mind it at all. With his golden palomino color, beautiful blonde mane and tail and solid build, this guy is sure to get you noticed
wherever you go. We know that he will fi t into any program and no matter how often or how little you ride him, he always comes out that same, fun-to-ride horse each
