Dear Friends and Customers,
We look forward to spending time with you at our seventh annual Hunt’s H+ Brangus Bull & Female Sale and offering you the
deepest set of bulls we’ve ever developed. In addition to the extremely deep set of MC Something Special 889Y2 offspring
that you have come to expect in or sales, we will debut a new combination of genetics. We will have more AI sired offerings
than ever before, and a wide selection of animals that are progeny of bulls that were bred, born, and developed here on our
ranch! Two new sires, G941 and G914, produced offspring that not only stood with, but seemed to slightly outpace their con-
temporaries. We view this as a complete validation of the breeding plan we have been using and will continue to implement.
Those sires were chosen because they reflect the unparalleled maternal efficiency and productivity of the 127 Cow family
combined with the “golden cross” of TCB Catawba Warrior R532 daughters and SR Wrangler Warrior T113! This is your first
opportunity to purchase this volume of bulls and/or females that carry the 127 Cow family in their paternal pedigree!
We offer you genetically proven bulls by breeding according to our consistent breeding plan. We don’t switch to the “bull of
the year” or chase fads. We use only proven AI bulls and their best sons follow behind for clean-up. This produces a tre-
mendously consistent cowherd and quality that results in profitable genetics for you. The bulls are raised and developed
after weaning on forage and a Purina Accu-Ration Feed that aims for proper development and expression of genetic poten-
tial. They averaged around 3.31 lbs. of gain per day for the test period as a group. We collect and report all relevant data on
EVERY bull and heifer born on the farm through yearling. We don’t adjust contemporary groups or use single contemporary
animals to “protect” EPDs. We never play games with the numbers. Our grandfather taught us that, “A good name is more
desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.” Proverbs 22:1. The information we provide is the ba-
sis for our reputation as your choice of a genetic provider. We will not waiver from accurately representing our animals!
We believe that profitable cows have live calves, have long productive lives, and raise calves to weaning and breed back ev-
ery year. Profitable cows need to survive on what nature provides in their environment with minimal inputs. We manage our
herd according to these beliefs. Your bulls come from real working cows! Every animal we sell has passed a forage-based
gain test, was checked for known genetic conditions, passed an exhaustive veterinarian administered Breeding Soundness
Exam and trich test, been carcass ultra sounded by a certified technician, has genomic enhanced EPDs and parentage veri-
fication. We go through this effort and report it ethically in order to produce a superior product for you! We call that “some-
thing extra.” We are committed to your success in the cattle business. When you see the + at the end of our brand, you will
begin to equate it with $ in your pocket on sale day! So, in our way of doing math, H+ = $ in your wallet!!! That is “something
extra” for you!
We could not bring you this sale without the cooperation of our genetic cooperators, Terry and TJ Bunch at Bunch Brangus
and our family, Michael, Wesley, Seth, and Jamey Hunt. Additional thanks go to, Auctioneer Luke Mobley, Adam Williams
and family at Calhoun Stockyard, Kencade Sumner DVM of Villanow Animal Clinic, Seth Stowers DVM of Hillside Veterinary
Practice, videographer, Tyler Ertzberger, and our catalog and ad designer, Tracey Koester. Our father, Michael Hunt, serves
as our herdsman and had help this year from a variety of friends including; Blaiz and Blair Harden, Robbie Arnold, and Ross
Wyatt. We also appreciate Todd Edwards and Anthony McQueen for their help with AI on the heifer offering, and thanks to
Lee Underwood with Ag-Central and Bill Martin with Martin’s Cattle Services.
