We have been doing a lot this year as a family, so let me get you caught up on the kids.
Starting off with the baby of the family, Kyah, who turned 6 in September last year. She started kindergarten
this year, and has enjoyed making new friends as well as getting time away from home. When she is home,
however, she loves to play with both of her older brothers. Whether it’s playing tractors or spending time in
the wonderful amount of snow outside, note the sarcasm.
Brock just turned 8 this year and is about to finish 2nd grade. He is more excited, though, about being able
to stay home and help with outside chores. He has started driving tractors more as well as helping with feed-
ing during weekends. He loves to help his dad with whatever he asks, however he does have a special love
for working with machinery. Brock also has started elementary wrestling and was enrolled in the pre-season
this year!
Hudson is the oldest boy at 11. He is about to finish 5th grade and he is really excited for summer to come.
Hudson is a true adventurer through and through. He loves to explore anywhere and will watch YouTube
videos on hunting and surviving techniques. He also tends to rope in the younger two with him, and they all work well together. Hudson, like Brock, was also
in pre-season as well as regular season wrestling this year.
Reagen is the second oldest at 13, and is involved in Track this year and JO volleyball. She loves being able to go to practices and games with her friends.
She also finally, after long years of begging, convinced James to get her a horse. She was ecstatic when she heard the news! The horse she is receiving
comes from Sandy Martsching, one of our RECIP cow providers.
The oldest kid in the family is Elodie, she is 14 and about to turn 15 in May. Elodie has had a busy year with FFA, speaking the FFA Creed and making it to top
4 as well as being Vice President in the State Runner-Up Conduct of Meeting team. She also was in Livestock judging and got gold this year at state. Right
now she is in Track, Drama, and Speech. Elodie is also a member of the North Dakota Junior Red Angus Association (NDJRAA) and currently serves as their
secretary. The heifer she is working on this year for the show pen is Nezzy. Nezzy’s ID# is K088 and her sire is Energizer.
