Del Rey is the perfect mixture of beauty, training, personality and
talent. Standing right at 15.1 and being 5 years old he is the perfect
age and size to fit anyone’s program. Del Rey is a breath taking gelding that is well versed in the cow horse and
as a ranch and switch end rope horse. Not to mention he has a stellar demeanor and makes a perfect trail riding
partner or youth mount as well! By an own son of Pitzers standout stallion MR BARON RED, it’s no accident he is
so versatile and good minded! Del Rey can be enjoyed by absolutely anyone. His riders have ranged from 4 to 75 yrs old and he
has been the same trained, seasoned veteran every trip. Another fantastic quality this gelding has to offer is his ability to stay
broke with no maintenance and with ample time off! It doesn’t matter to him how often you choose to take him for a spin he
will stay good every single day of the year. Del Rey is easy to rope on. He is quiet in the box, with a smooth move and a snappy
face on the head side and makes the corner well on the heel side. Del Rey is also trained in the cow horse! He has an easy lead
change, fun stylish spins, and is simple to prepare. He circles beautifully and will lope slow and low on a large drape and it is oh
so smooth! When called on Del Rey has plenty of run, rate and reads a cow well. We use Del Rey for daily ranch chores, such
as shipping, doctoring and gathering. We have drug lots of calves to brand on him in the spring, sorted and weaned on him as
well. This is also a horse with lots of try and a big desire to please. We believe this superb gelding will fit any discipline. We have
taken him through some rough and rocky terrain and he’s sure footed and stays steady. We have also used him to carry the
American flag in the grand entry. He’s accustomed to and unbothered by heavy traffic, dogs, tarps, guns, machinery and chaos.
This is a gelding we have really enjoyed. His puppy dog personality is one you can’t ignore. He is a blast to ride and an absolute
