Everybody loves Lucy! This versatile friendly mare is the perfect
family horse. Trustworthy and easy to be around, she’s ready for
you to go enjoy in the roping arena or out on the ranch. Started as a
cowhorse, Lucy has all the fun buttons, and an easy-going temper-
ament that makes every ride enjoyable. Lucy has a pleasant ground
covering walk, smooth trot, and easy rocking horse lope. She hits the ground softly
in all gaits and is always ready to stop. Beautifully broke, she rides soft in the face,
is responsive to leg pressure and stays collected. With maturity far beyond her 6
years, Lucy is exceptionally user friendly. She’s quiet in the box, scores well and is
always easy to ride. Junior rodeo ready, she was fabulous for our 14-year-old son
at his very first junior rodeo June 3rd and 4th! They won 2nd in the ribbon roping,
5th in the breakaway, won the team roping 2nd round and placed 2nd in the team
roping average. Her quick footedness across the line makes it easy to get out of the
barrier. Lucy doesn’t mind if you want to make 10 or 30 runs, she’ll stay steady and
quiet the whole way through. Cowy and quick, Lucy is fun to work cows on and a
great partner gathering pastures and in the sorting pens. She’s careful on any sort
of terrain, picking her way surefootedly through rocks and quietly crossing rivers. She doesn’t mind riding out alone or in a group, she’s content to enjoy the scenery at
whatever speed you’d like. Lucy comes by her handiness naturally, she’s by FLETCH THAT CAT, a proven all-around sire. His progeny has proven themselves in cutting,
reined cowhorse, barrels and roping. She’s a granddaughter of the #1 AQHA Sire of all Time – HIGH BROW CAT whose offspring have won $90,000,000 in the NCHA.
Built for longevity with outstanding conformation, Lucy would be a fabulous broodmare. She stands a user friendly 15 hands and weighs 1100 lbs. In addition to AQHA,
Lucy is registered with the Pinto Horse Association of American. Lucy is a lady on the ground, she’ll happily meet you at the front of the stall. She enjoys attention, has

DRIFT BLU VALENTINE is a 2018 AQHA Black Gelding affectionately
known as Topaz, that stands 15.1 hands tall and just as stout! Topaz
comes from a long line of ranch horses as well as competitive perfor-
mance horses, with some great foundation horses right on his papers
including LEO HANCOCK HAYES, DRIFTS CHIP and GOOSEBERRY.
Topaz has a calm, gentle disposition, big hip and amazing color. He has big bone,
big tough feet and the natural ability to get any job done. Topaz is not just a pretty
face, he has been all over the mountains, gathering and trailing cattle and camping
on the beach. He is confident and surefooted on the trail and will go anywhere
you point him, through streams, over logs, across bridges and into dense brush
doesn’t bother him at all. He is patient horse and will tie quietly for hours. Topaz is
well broke, neck reins, side passes, opens gates and will lope pretty circles. Topaz
has been trained to side over to a block or fence for ease of mounting. He can pack
a flag or drag a log easily. Topaz LOVES the water, ponds, lakes, rivers or a bath!
He rides great in the front or behind and is great with the other horses. Topaz has
been ranch roped off of and ropes the heel-o-matic. He is the same horse every
time you take him out, will step out of the trailer anywhere and act like he has been there a thousand times. We have owned Topaz since he was a yearling, he is extremely
