Feather is pretty both inside and out. She is a favorite with our family.
She is an exceptionally smart, Gypsy Vanner cross mare. We encouraged
the previous owners to locate the breeder and get more information on
her. We now have her registered as WB’s Fancy Feather with the Gypsy
Horse Association. She was foaled on 4/27/17 and is currently 6 years
old. She stands 15.0 hands and weighs 1210 lbs. We had the privilege of starting this
nice mare back when she was a 2-year-old. She learned fast then and always had the
best demeanor. Fortunately for us, we got the opportunity to own her later. Feather is a
well-proportioned mare with all the looks and confirmation you would want a horse to
have. She is exceptionally smooth in all of her gaits. She really steps out and can walk
a hole in the ground. She has good stamina on trail rides and has no quit in her. She
was primarily used for trail riding by her previous owners. They got her used to vari-
ous types of trails, loud music and overnight camping. They told us they had carried a
speaker on the back of their saddle while on long trail rides. Since we have owned her,
we have used her for family trail rides here on the ranch, in our riding lesson program,
rode her in parades and trail rides all over Texas and Arkansas. We have also used her
for all types of tasks here on the ranch, such as gathering, penning and sorting cattle,
ponying colts, checking fences and clearing trails. She will walk, trot and lope on cue for most any rider that knows the basics. She is good with her leads. She has good ground
manners and is gentle to be around. In all of her training with us, she has never bucked. Our clients that raised her say the exact same thing of their time owning her. You will

TRR MR PLAYBOY BLUE, known as Hardy, is an 8-year-old red roan
gelding that stands 14.3 HH and weighs 1100 pounds. He is sired by
MEDICINAL MECOM BLUE, which sired some outstanding ranch horses
for Tongue River, out of a PEPCID mare, TRR MS PEP PLAYBOY. Hardy
has been used extensively on the ranch. Joshua Halsell picked him as a
two-year-old and he was started and ridden by him and his daughter his whole life. He has
had all ranch work done on him from dragging calves, sorting cattle, roping cattle outside,
and making big drives in various terrain. As exceptional as he is outside on the ranch
he is just as diverse and experienced in the arena. Hardy has been used in ranch rodeos
since he was a 4-year-old helping Tongue River win various events in the last 4 years. He
is a finished head and heel horse, who scores exceptionally well, and has been hauled to
numerous World Series Team Ropings. Joshua’s daughter has not only shown him in multiple ranch horse association competitions but has also been actively breakaway roping on him
for Clarendon College in the Southwest Region. Hardy has a great disposition to him as well. This horse hauls well, stays on feed and drinks plenty of water away from the ranch. Hardy
is a gentle horse that has been exposed to all types of arena events. He has had flags carried on him in parades and grand entries. He was also used in the San Antonio Stock Show and
Rodeo ranch rodeo this year for the buddy pickup race where he had to run across a tarp twice carrying two cowboys riding double at a run. Hardy picked up the slack and ended up
helping the ranch win that event. Not only does he stack up as a great ranch horse, but he has also proven himself as a great arena horse too. He will carry anyone to any discipline and
